Gain a better understanding of how the Worldpay Data Platform Database team supports Business and Infrastructure initiatives across multiple database platforms including DB2 on Linux / IBM Mainframe, MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Engineered Systems. The Intern will assist in:

  • Identifying database asset / attribute inventory in support of Change Management Database (CMDB).

  • Assist to track, improve and support Internal and External Auditing of database platforms.

  • Create dashboards and reports for staff to track their "active" work effort and alerts for backlog Incident, Problem, and Service Requests tickets -- including offshore support.

  • Assist to build dashboards for Data Platform Agile Project intake.

  • Understanding database operations through standardizing various related Knowledge Base reporting.

  • Assist with a database build by aligning with Enterprise Data Architecture for Data Modeling, the Business for design considerations, and the Database Administrators for database builds.

  • Focus on Data Protection initiatives.

  • Assist with organization changes that support Best in Class standards and industry benchmark adherence for both domestic and global consumption.

VIEW JOBS 12/12/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-12T00:00 U.S. Bank is seeking a motivated Business Analyst to support the development, expansion, and utilization of the Common Transactions (CT) Platform. This new technical platform will support an enterprise solution for digital transaction image processing of monetary transaction across Branch, Mobile, Online, In Lobby Tellers, and ATMs. This complex platform will merge independent monetary processing approaches into one platform for transaction settlement. A successful candidate will have experience in agile delivery, working knowledge of branch banking, deposit processing, and/or business/system analysis. The CT Business Analyst will collaborate with external and internal stakeholders (e.g., U.S. Bank business leaders including Branch Leaders, Omnichannel Experience, Delivery, Risk, Product and Channel managers) to identify, refine, and document detailed "best in class" business requirements for the expansion of the Common Transaction digital processing and money movement initiatives. The CT Business Analyst will participate in an agile team driving business outcomes needed. The CT Business Analyst is expected to balance multiple agendas, be a strong communicator, ensure a timely delivery of key deliverables, and represent the interests of stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have a working knowledge of agile, experience as a business/system analyst, and branch banking experience. Duties to include but not limited to the following: * Elicitation across multiple business areas and documentation of detailed business needs, features and functional requirements in complex efforts like Common Transaction platform * Interview users to identify and analyze needs; may develop project plans and provides input to recommendations for request and/or problem resolution * Agile delivery team member, understanding and providing direction for the product * Participate in developing and maintaining detailed knowledge of the business's current technology and infrastructure from a functional perspective and can serve as a consultant to others on platform * May participate in testing, training, demonstrations, and implementation of application * Assist, and at times, may lead technical staff to investigate, analyze, and resolve application problems related to system functions * Ability to prioritize a workload and adapt in an environment with shifting priorities * Ability to articulate concepts in process flows and diagrams * Meet quality and deadlines of work expectations Successful applicants will exemplify US Bank's ethical principles of uncompromising integrity, respect for others, accountability for decisions and actions, and good citizenship. Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience * Eight to ten years of experience in project management activities Preferred Experience * Eight to ten years' experience with requirements and workflow analysis, including articulating business opportunities, benefits, risks, and success factors of applications in software development life cycle * Strong desire to continually improve self, people and processes * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills * Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) * Understanding or experience with system development life cycle and agile project methodologies * Use of Agile tools like TFS and VersionOne * Banking experience preferred. Related industry experience considered.
