As the Data Science Platform Lead Engineer for the Big Data & Analytics Team, your job is to build a scalable platform to integrate, sanitize, and productize our massive store of market and user data to turn it into a competitive weapon. You'll work in the team responsible for developing machine learning algorithms that power features like the Redfin Estimate, Hot Homes, Price Whisperer, Agent Proactive Follow-ups and Marketing Automation. Our stack runs primarily in the cloud on AWS, so experience there is a big bonus.
6+ years experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, system automation, machine learning and real time platform.
At least 4 years experience in AWS or other large-scale cloud-based production systems
Production level experience with Python, Java, SQL, and shell scripting
Experience with batch processing and stream processing
Experience with building large scale data processing system
An entrepreneurial spirit, a drive to ship quickly, and familiarity with agile software development practices
The ability to deal with ambiguity, communicate well with partner teams, and a strong empathy for the customer experience
