As the Data Science Platform Lead Engineer for the Big Data & Analytics Team, your job is to build a scalable platform to integrate, sanitize, and productize our massive store of market and user data to turn it into a competitive weapon. You'll work in the team responsible for developing machine learning algorithms that power features like the Redfin Estimate, Hot Homes, Price Whisperer, Agent Proactive Follow-ups and Marketing Automation. Our stack runs primarily in the cloud on AWS, so experience there is a big bonus.

You have:

  • 6+ years experience in cloud computing, distributed systems, system automation, machine learning and real time platform.

  • At least 4 years experience in AWS or other large-scale cloud-based production systems

  • Production level experience with Python, Java, SQL, and shell scripting

  • Experience with batch processing and stream processing

  • Experience with building large scale data processing system

  • An entrepreneurial spirit, a drive to ship quickly, and familiarity with agile software development practices

  • The ability to deal with ambiguity, communicate well with partner teams, and a strong empathy for the customer experience

  • Strong interest in building the next-generation analytics platform for real estate
