The International Supply Chain is a team of highly driven and self-motivated individuals who are working in a fast-paced and fast-growing environment (we grew +10X during 2018). Our goal is to manage and drive operational efficiencies within the inbound space by working cross-functionally with teams within CastleGate, Logistics, and Engineering. We are working to grow our business, as this is the newest CastleGate supplier service, to hundreds of suppliers within the next few quarters.

What You'll Do

  • Designing and sustaining SQL scripts, tools and scorecards for individual department metrics

  • Deep diving and analysis of existing data to identify actionable business trends

  • Lead workstreams that span multiple departments at Wayfair

  • Use your quantitative skills to identify opportunities to improve the way we work with suppliers and the structure of our internal processes with the goal of driving operational excellence

  • Define, implement and measure improvements to our operational processes with the goal of managing the incoming growth in the volume of containers handled in our supply chain

  • Lead executions, collect data, analyze and provide recommendations for key projects aimed at improving Wayfair's international supply chain

What You'll Need

  • Expert level Excel user (Experience with VBA or DAX/Power Pivot a plus)

  • Database familiarity and a working knowledge of SQL

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills this is a key skill given the focus of the role in identifying opportunities for improvements in our processes/teams

  • Experience working with large and/or complex datasets

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills regardless of the media: in person, phone, or email

  • Ability to stay consistently positive, people-oriented and energetic and to drive this behavior in others

  • Strong work ethic and a history of meeting tight deadlines

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

The main focus is to support report development, data collection/warehousing and data analysis needs throughout all areas of the organization. The Data Systems Analyst works closely with all members of the Information Services (IS) applications team, technical team, department directors, managers, and end users in all applicable areas, as well as vendors, to implement and maintain data reporting solutions. Possible temp to perm position. Responsibilities * Work with business units to gather requirements, define and then develop new and/or modify existing reports that are written in a variety of tools and databases. * Design and develop graphical data dashboards to display relevant data to all levels of leadership * Create and maintain ETL applications and data warehousing solutions in support of enterprise data needs * Assist the organization with interpretation of data as it applies to business processes and goals. * Perform low-level programming to maintain and modify existing in-house applications or develop new applications/databases to assist with data movement or capture. * Create stored procedures, views or procedure routines that output or consolidate data for various business usages * Manage data via SQL DML as needed * Develop creative, outside the box data solutions while maintaining rigor around data integrity and reporting standards * Assist in developing and maintaining standards regarding report and data requests and prioritization methodology * Create and maintain a change management protocol for report and code versioning * Create and maintains documentation for end users and IS department operational documentation * Assist with managing our interfaces ensuring connectivity and data flow Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience can be substituted. * 3+ years relevant Data Systems Analyst experience required. * Experience with all aspects of data related to the healthcare industry is strongly preferred. (clinical, pharmacy, financial, ICD-10 codes, CPT codes, HCPCS codes, medical coding, quality, etc.) * The Data Systems Analyst will be: * Accomplished in your understanding of relational database concepts, schema, data and connections to get accurate and efficient query results. * Accomplished in your ability to work with clients across the organization to understand their business need and translate that into reporting requirements. * Accomplished in your ability to interpret and graphically present data for use by business units. * Proficient with the following databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MS Access. * Competent in HL7, Server Management and FTP/SFTP process. * Proficient in using Crystal Reports, MS Access, MS Excel, Oracle SQL Developer, Tableau and other reporting software * Competent using the following transactional languages: PL/SQL, T-SQL * Competent in the following programming languages: XML, Java, ASP, VB, VB Script * Competent in d via SQL DML and DDL * Positive, with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and teach. * Working independently with moderate to little supervision. * Able to focus or concentrate on work in a shared workspace. * Able to apply critical thinking skills (conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information) to reach an answer or conclusion. * Advanced in their investigation and diagnostic skills. * A creative thinker to see solutions that do not appear obvious at first. * Able to communicate effectively and express yourself well, verbally, on paper, or email. * Thorough, detailed, and accurate in all work products. * Calm and have a supportive temperament, empathic with users, patient and understanding.
