Responsible for installation, configuration and performance monitoring of data network communications equipment including, servers, routers, switches, software and other network equipment. Working under general supervision, the Data Network Technician will perform and/or assist in the routine testing, analysis, troubleshooting and maintenance of operational network resources.
a.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. BS Computer Science preferred.
b.Experience Level: Minimum 3 years networking/telephony experience or equivalent, as well as experience with common Data Network components including routers, switches and modems.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to understand complex relationships between components. Good problem solving skills for hardware and software related issues.
e.Licenses or Certifications: Valid Driver's license required.
f.Participate in on-call rotation.
g.Cisco CCNA preferred.
