Establish and maintain an adaptable infrastructure to facilitate the access, definition, management, security and integrity of data across the Bank. Work at an advanced level of all phases of data management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1.Work with data analysts, application programmers, business user personnel and project managers to gather data requirements to support creating logical and physical data models for applications and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting, including those with specialized or complex requirements.
2.Develop, manage and update data models, including physical and logical models of the data warehouse, data mart and staging area.
3.Lead design reviews of data models and other relevant metadata to ensure consistency, quality, accuracy and integrity. Promote and enforce adherence to corporate information architectures, policies and standards.
4.Consult with Database Administrators concerning the creation of physical data schema from the physical model by making recommendations, designing referential integrity, and ensuring business requirements are satisfied.
5.Generate Data Definition Language (DDL) scripts for the update of database objects so that the database reflects the structure represented by the physical model.
6.Consult with application programmers and database users concerning how to use the database as designed and how to navigate efficiently within the database.
7.Serve as a project leader on complex internally assigned projects. Analyze, evaluate and make recommendations concerning proposed data analysis products, as well as products to facilitate the extraction, transformation, loading and reporting of data.
8.Develop, document and adhere to Enterprise Data Office (EDO) standards for the use, control, creation and maintenance of metadata. Assist with the planning and implementation of the corporate metadata architecture. Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for the organization's metadata facilities and their use.
9.Support data architecture requirements for multiple development teams, advising teams on data model requirements and impact analysis.
Required Skills and Competencies:

1.Bachelor's degree in computer science-related field, or equivalent education and related training
2.Ten years of experience, including six years of hands-on experience working as a data analyst and two years of application programming and analysis experience
3.Experience in database design and data modeling for medium to large projects
4.Knowledgeable in all areas of data management and application development lifecycle; possess solid understanding of metadata systems and metadata architecture; knowledgeable in modeling for data warehouses, including dimensional modeling; possess knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
5.A strong understanding of and competence with tools for entity relationship modeling
6.Skilled in requirements gathering for medium to large projects with strong analytical and problem-solving background
7.Sound written and verbal communication skills
8.Ability to work as a member of a team
9.Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
10. Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
