Position Summary

As a Product Owner you are a key member of the Agile Scrum team and will represent the voice of both the customer and Product Mangers to execute the product vision. The Product Owner will work closely with Product Management, Global Data & Analytic partners, and IT to define and prioritize features, to ensure alignment with customer and program needs, and improve the value of development.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the identification, understanding and documentation of features supporting the analytics architecture, functional capabilities, personalization and overall customer experience of Cigna's Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) Operations data assets and tools.

  • Understands business needs and desired end-user experience, and provides input into design, customer experience, and technical decisions.

  • Able to apply a consultative and collaborative approach to influence business priorities and business actions across multiple functions, departments and levels for maximum strategic benefit.

  • Ensures that product features accurately represent the needs across the Cigna GD&A teams and recognizes opportunities for alignment and synergy.

  • Consults with business stakeholders to translate business objectives into understandable feature and story acceptance criteria in accordance with the Agile framework.

  • Able to develop productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical partners

  • Owns backlog grooming and prioritization in partnership with Product Manager for the identified scrum teams inclusive of decomposition of program/portfolio epics.

  • Manages schedule, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies related to deliverables.

  • Active participant in day-to-day activities and all Agile ceremonies (demos, retrospectives, sprint planning, program increment (PI) Planning).

  • Accountable for the quality and value of capabilities delivered to production.

  • Ensures that the analytics user experience is competitive with industry trends and capabilities.

  • Works collaboratively with key internal stakeholders including Product, Service Operations, and IT.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience strongly preferred.

  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience working with requirements analysis, process improvement, data analysis, data warehousing and/or software development

  • Proven track record successfully delivering superior results in the data and analytics arena; able to effectively collaborate with front-end development teams

  • Experience with successfully delivering critical projects using an Agile framework; Agile certification is a plus

  • Experience in healthcare or similar industry, and a proven track record of delivering in complex regulated environment.

  • Detail orientated with strong execution skills and ability to deliver results in a complex and fluid environment.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

We will consider qualified candidates in any of our Cigna and Express Scripts locations The Data Measurement and Reporting Director role will transform the way we enable our business through strategic performance metrics and insights, self-service and interactive tools, and timely accurate information enabling business decisions. This leader will oversee the Data and Reporting Strategy team and work closely with key stakeholders across the Group business to ensure delivery of management reporting and dashboards. The role will partner closely with the Group IT Analytics practice with the responsibility of setting and executing a roadmap for how data will be utilized to achieve our goals. The ideal candidate will understand Group's business, priorities and challenges, and lead the design and delivery of the most optimal data and reporting solutions while leveraging capabilities provided by functional partners. Responsibilities: * Oversee and evolve reporting and business intelligence capabilities, tools, and platforms in collaboration with Group IT Analytics team. * Define and scale Group performance metric capabilities, drive consistency, ensure adoption and use of common dashboards and metrics. * Define and oversee data and reporting processes, monitoring and governance across automated, ad-hoc, and dashboard deliverables. * Drive adoption of agile ways of working and business driven prioritization of deliverables. * Automate manual reporting across Group to increase efficiencies. * Work with Group business partners to identify the information needs and develop data and reporting solutions. * Work closely with Group IT Analytics team to develop and execute on a data roadmap that ensures designed solutions are easily delivered to the business. Qualifications: * Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a field such as Actuarial Science, Data Science, or Information Technology. * Strong strategic planning, delivery management, and program leadership skills, experience with agile ways of working. * Proven track record leading large scale automated and self-service data and reporting solution development and deployment. * Expertise and proven track record in reporting tools and platforms and experience with robotic process automation a plus. * Solid data management tool experience and skills (SQL Server, etc.). * Ability to drive projects from concept to deployment. * Strong communication and management skills. * Excellent collaboration, relationship management and influencing skills. * Ability to identify and fill talent gaps. * Support speed, simplicity, agility in decision making and action. * Group business knowledge a plus.
