Coordinate data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting processes for quality improvement with a focus on family, child, and perinatal health and health care delivery as part of the Vermont Child Health Improvement program. Implement and improve existing data management systems that collect and integrate multiple data sources, including public health data, claims data, electronic health record derived data, and chart audit data.

Collaborate regularly with leadership to create and modify data collection tools and participate in the training and oversight of data collection personnel at multiple sites. Conduct descriptive analyses on new and existing datasets, write detailed reports on evaluation methods, and present results on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to support project objectives is expected. Create and maintain standard operating procedures and protocols related to data collection and maintenance for the data life cycle. Ensure security and confidentiality of data and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor's degree in health or social sciences (e.g. psychology, public health, nursing, health science) and three to five years of research and data management required.

Experience with statistical analysis software (e.g., Stata, SAS SPSS, SAS, and/or R), word processing, spreadsheets, and databases required.

Experience conducting descriptive analysis required.

Effective project management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience using REDCap for data collection, experience with Microsoft Excel or similar product for data visualization, and advanced programing experience with STATA software highly desirable. Experience cleaning, analyzing, linking, integrating and reporting on health data from multiple sources highly desirable. Experience working with data throughout the data lifecycle and identifying opportunities to use data to meet program objectives highly desirable.

Anticipated Pay Range $49,000 - $56,000 Other Information

Position is contingent on continued grant funding, though annual funding is anticipated.

Requires sporadic statewide travel to data collection sites.

Special Conditions Contingent on continued funding, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Background Check required for this position FLSA Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU ($20 minimum hourly rate)
