Job Responsibilities:

Essential Role Responsibilities

  • Perform data processing and data management tasks, such as coding, data manipulation/cleaning, merging, presentations, and reporting.

  • Conduct data tabulation/analysis for various types of client projects (e.g., engagement, culture, exit, onboarding).

  • Tasks include reviewing requirements and understanding best practices; data management and processing; client discussions and training as required.

  • Prepare off-line, custom ad-hoc reports in MS Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and/or SPSS/Tableau.

  • Responsible for cleaning and uploading HRIS file to system; creating organization structure from client HRIS using available tools.

  • Accountable for maintaining, reviewing, and updating all / relevant key project documents throughout the project lifecycle in the specified format as applicable (e.g. timeline, checklists, requirement documents).

  • Responsible for flawless project delivery. Ensures quality control of all deliverables by ensuring adherence to process for survey including, but not limited to data cleaning, processing, and conversion.

  • Takes ownership of the client project / relevant deliverables.

  • Manages client HRIS file, org structure development, and provides guidance to clients on preferred format.

  • Responds to all internal and external inquiries in a timely manner and with an appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Develop and enhance tools for Org Structure creation, exploring alternatives (e.g., matrix reporting).

  • Create data coding file for data entry provider if applicable.

  • Downloads survey data, reviews and makes revisions as needed. Check offline scores against result expectations (e.g., N-count) in all related QA documents, includes running initial results for initial QA.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all deliverables (e.g., data tabulations, demographics, benchmarks, HRIS information, org structure, reports, spreadsheets, data files & written comments) are fully tested and accurate.

  • Keep and monitor project schedules and the activities related to data management and reporting. Identify risks and potential delays to schedule and raise to project manager and other members of project team in a timely manner.

  • Provide the Project Manager or Lead Consultant with guidance / consultation for ad hoc analysis or report requests to ensure we provide the best possible solution to our clients.

  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves project issues and changes (including impact to timing, additional fees / scope) that require attention or action of project team members and client (as assigned).

  • Mentor and coach less experienced Project Support and Data Managers. May include people management responsibilities.

  • Assists with presentation insights/observations.

  • Responsible for tasks including, reviewing requirements and understanding best practices; setup; client demonstrations and training as required.

  • Serves as the day-to-day client contact throughout the duration of the project for defined project phases, from design and development through delivery of results.

  • Take active lead role in improving internal processes for operational tasks, such as survey, reporting, data management.

  • Develops in-depth knowledge of industry and process solutions, provide guidance to clients around the best process solutions.

  • Effectively prioritize and escalate client issues as required.

  • Collaborate with Project Manager to finalize and clarify project requirements

  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Communicate issues and changes requiring attention or action to project team members (including risks and opportunities).

  • Assist with proposals and/or other estimates as required.

  • Identifies potential risks and assists with contingency planning.

  • Troubleshoot data or software questions and /or issues (e.g., reporting site, historical mapping, org structure, tabulations, presentations, offline reports) and answer questions from project team members.

  • Recognize opportunities to improve internal processes and take the lead on the process improvement initiatives.

  • Contributes to the financial success of our practice by learning about how our business works (i.e. earns revenue and profit), seeking opportunities to be fully productive during lower billable work cycles, timely and accurate completion of your time card.

  • Responsible for sending client data to global database team for benchmarking.

  • Take ownership of the project deliverables. Ensure that the Project Manager is involved at all relevant points of the project as per procedures.

  • Provide the Project Manager with estimates of effort and timing for ad hoc analysis or reporting requests, if requested.

  • Conducts Peer reviews (as assigned) as per the procedures.

  • Conduct team orientations on data needs and train clients on reporting sites as needed.

  • Ensures the client can serve as a reference upon project completion.

  • Implement client solutions using our suite of human capital management software and supporting technologies.

  • Become an expert in our product and supporting technologies. Use your expertise to research, troubleshoot, and resolve questions or issues in a timely manner.

  • Troubleshoot data and/or technical issues, log issues and work to identify solutions or workarounds. Find and advocate for software and process improvements.

  • Provide requirements for testing and feedback on new technology software or solutions. Participate and contribute in technology requirements gathering and user acceptance testing.

  • Participate in Pre-Sales, Finalist Sales and Kick-off client meetings and represent Operations - Survey, Reporting, Data Management & Analytics as applicable

Required Education, Skills, Knowledge

  • Possesses a college/university degree or higher in computer science, business administration, engineering, mathematics, or other relevant field.

  • Has experience in related field, approximately five years or more.

  • Exposure to or experience with databases, statistical or reporting programs (like, Crystal Reports) is a plus.

  • Experience with SPSS, Tableau or other statistical software is a plus.

  • Has excellent analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills.

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills related to collaboration and team building; persuasive, encouraging and motivating.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint) are required. Knowledge and Experience in MS Access, and SPSS are strongly preferred).

  • Knowledge of university level statistical theory and application preferred.

  • Comfortable working with large and complex MS Excel data files.

  • Flexible; adept at reordering priorities and activities to address ever-changing requirements.

  • Ability to anticipate problems and take appropriate actions to avoid them.

  • Highly organized, giving high attention to detail, and having strong time-management abilities. Ability to manage to deadlines and deliver on commitments.

  • Has strong communication skills both written and verbal (clear and concise).

  • Comfortable working with, interpreting, and summarizing large sized data sets including, but not limited to: paper distribution sheets, HRIS files, response rates.

  • Experience in market research (or similar research) would be beneficial.

  • Experience with system testing and requirements development an asset.

  • Ability to work effectively with teams and individually with minimal supervision.
