Job Summary:

The Data Management Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring a progressive and healthy database for the business. Your main functions involve lead generation or data building as well as data cleaning and validation. This will include obtaining new contacts as well as verifying existing contact details through various online resources such as LinkedIn. Maintaining accurate data is a priority for Reed Exhibitions. Hence, you will also be responsible in managing and ensuring up-to-date data on the Reed Exhibitions database platform. The role will be versatile and adaptable to varying projects as Reed Exhibitions handles multiple events for different industries in a given period. One day, you may find yourself obtaining leads for the beauty industry and then validating mailing addresses for the gift industry the next day. Vital output for this role is meeting daily lead targets, maintaining data integrity on files and databases and submitting accurate daily reports to Supervisor.

Accountabilities:

  • Online lead generation or data building based on a set of criteria

  • Completion of leads with missing details

  • Validation of contact details for existing leads

  • Maintain, enrich and update Reed Exhibitions exhibitor / visitor database

  • Other research activities or projects that may be required of you

  • Submit regular productivity and leads reports to Supervisor

Technical Competencies:

  • Excel

  • CRM systems

  • Computer literate

Other Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Confident in dealing effectively with internal and external customers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time and organizational skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Ability to quickly adapt to varying client and/or project demands

  • Experience at working independently and within a team collaboration environment

  • Strong attention to detail is required

  • Ability to spot data discrepancy

  • Familiarity with various online research and sourcing tools
