Expected Starting Salary Range: $58,552 - $75,000
This will be a remote position after ~3 months of onsite training, ideally candidates would live within driving distance to our main hospital campus
SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Acquiring, validating, storing, protecting, and processing required data to ensure the accessibility, reliability, and timeliness of the data for its users.
CAREER LEVEL SUMMARY: Requires strong conceptual and working knowledge in job area. Works independently, with moderate level of guidance general supervision. Some direct / relevant experience to perform a range of assignments related to job discipline. Applies experience to accomplish difficult tasks.
Representative Responsibilities
- Maintains CCHMC site data for large external learning network. Develops programs using Structured Query Language (SQL) for the development of analytical datasets and reports. Develops rigorous quality control and quality assurance programs to perform data validation for data generated to/from learning network to assure agreed upon data quality. Creates and follows standardized data quality processes to ensure reproducibility and increase efficiencies. May identify inconsistencies and discrepancies in data and takes the necessary steps to correct.
- Develop systems for organizing data to analyze, identify and report trends. Create and maintain data management documentation.
- Participate in data reviews and identify critical data items required for analysis and reporting. Consult with senior peers on non-routine projects to learn through experience. Ensure accurate project-related data through the timely generation of logic statements, querying of data, edit checks, resolution of inaccuracies and auditing of databases in accord with GCDM practices.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Creates summary tables, graphs, and listings for study coordination efforts. Maintains clear documentation of all processes and procedures followed to produce all outputs.
- Work closely with Data Coordinator who performs data entry and other administrative tasks for CCHMC learning network data. Meet with IBD Faculty and Program Manager so they are aware of routine data timelines, data quality, and improvement initiatives. Attend routine team meetings and provide minutes for data tasks.
- Maintain project milestones and timelines using Asana. Process other ad hoc requests for data as assigned by manager.
Education/Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3 - 5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
Preferred:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- SQL Programming
