Role

As a Data Management Analyst III you'll join our Data & Digital team helping us lead, design, and build our digital transformation and define what's next for our business-while working in an organization that's continuously investing in data and systems.

The Data Management Analyst III will work across Crown Castle to support our transformational programs from a data governance, metadata, data quality, and master data management perspective. You will facilitate the data management playbook to improve enterprise data in transformational programs. Your work will include being the Data Management team point of contact for the transformations you are assigned as well as coordinating with the Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Master Data Management capability leads to provide necessary support. You will lead Data Management activities for all phases of the transformation: Discovery and Planning, Development, and Post-Implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a collaborative approach to providing data management support to assigned transformation projects.

  • Develop business rules with Data Governance and Data Subject Matter Experts throughout the organization.

  • Develop data remediation plans to address data quality issues that could impact the success of the transformational program.

  • Work with the Data Governance Leads to escalate data topics to the Data Governance Council.

  • Provide support in building out reporting and analytics related to data governance.

  • Engage with the Data Management capability leads (Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Classification and Master Data Management) to ensure required support is provided in a timely manner.

  • Lead project team onboarding and execution of the Data Management Playbook.

  • Support Data Governance Leads and Data Stewards to assist with Data Management activities including data profiling, business rules, and data remediation planning.

  • Develop data requirements, support metadata gap analysis, and define data impacts for "To-Be Processes".

  • Assist with Master and Reference Data Roadmaps.

  • Identify and develop reporting for data quality metrics.

  • Provide regular status updates to all levels of the organization for assigned Data Management activities.

  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive as well as the ability to work well with diverse teams. Strong organizational skills are also expected.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to weigh various suggested technical solutions against the original business needs and choose the most cost-effective solution.

  • Strong customer service orientation.

  • Meets project deadlines by providing accurate estimates of effort required for committed deliverables.

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline

Experience/Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years in a business analyst or data analyst role

  • 2-3 years of experience in one of the following areas: Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Classification and Privacy, Master Data Management

  • Experience working in an Agile framework (Kanban, Scrum, Scrum-ban, SAFe, etc.)

  • High degree of initiative and capacity to lead multiple priorities of significant scope in a fast-paced environment

  • Skilled in communicating with and influencing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including executive leadership, employees, potential/existing customers, competitors, and business partners

  • Experience working with the following technologies a plus: Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Alation Data Catalog, reading and writing SQL queries.

Working Conditions: This is a remote role with the expectation of on-site collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter. Travel up to 20% may be required.

For New York, Colorado, California, and Washington residents: The hiring range offered for this position is $99,800 - $130,000 annually. In addition to salary, employees are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 15% of annual salary and restricted stock units. Employees (and their families) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees can enroll in our company's 401k plan. Employees will also receive 18 days of paid time off each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
