Job Title: DLP Architect, Sr. Principal IT Engineer
Reports to: Director, Network Engineering
FLSA Status: Exempt
Department: Information Systems and Technologies

Summary: Responsible for architecture, engineering, and level 3 support of Data Loss Protection (DLP) systems, security, and services as well as management of resources in a global environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Collaborate with peers, management and Business Unit (BU) leaders to develop a DLP roadmap and a comprehensive DLP strategy
Collaborate with management on a yearly budget for the DLP program and remain within approved spend
Evaluate, design, and develop reliable, scalable, and secure DLP solutions to meet business requirements while adhering to NIST frameworks
Comply with all regulatory requirements and adhere to accepted architectural frameworks in solution design, build, and operations
Collaborate with Legal and other IT groups on the development of Data Marking and Classification policies
Partner with other Engineering teams and Operations on assessment of DLP tools, the development and execution of a DLP roadmap, and ensure seamless transition from the Design and Build phases to Operations
Collaborate with the Operations Team to continuously ensure defined technologies are effective and efficient in practice
Perform ongoing evaluation and identification of trends and opportunities to enhance efficacy of the DLP strategy and individual business use-cases
Participate in the broader architecture review process from the Data Protection perspective
Manage an Engineer focused on DLP, providing technical and workload guidance
Some off-hours meetings are expected to maintain efficient communications and operations across time zones
Manage vendors to drive solution optimization and business value
Provide monthly reporting on the efficacy of the DLP program to upper management
Maintain visibility into plans across various business units to support incoming growth.
Interface with internal and external auditors
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports
Establish and communicate work priorities
Evaluate performance of direct reports and provide coaching where needed
Hire, retain, and mentor talent
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong end-to-end knowledge in the design, engineering, and operation of a comprehensive DLP solution set.
Information Security processes, practices, and solutions
Data marking and classification schemes
Enterprise DLP solutions
Network and SaaS DLP solutions
Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience building a DLP function within an enterprise
10+ years of experience with DLP in a global environment.
4+ years of supervisory or managerial experience with a proven ability to engage, motivate, evaluate, and mentor team members
Experience designing and providing highly available and reliable DLP systems capable of 24x7 business operations
Vendor management experience including contract negotiations, price negotiations, commercial terms, and outsourcing
Experience with regulatory compliance controls. GxP and SOX are preferred.
Experience with operating large‐scale, highly available systems through capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure architecture
Experience in private and public cloud designs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interact with all personnel from application developers to the CIO.
Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships and influence others to achieve goals

Salary Range (annually)
$145,400.00 - $237,200.00
