The Data Insights Intern is someone who is passionate about learning our business using data, technology and analytics to provide valuable data insights to drive the company's critical business decisions.

What you'll do:

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Become a HomeAway data guru - be the point of contact for data questions and insights

  • Turn data-based observations and insights into hypotheses for AB testing through analytical rigor

  • Monitor engagement and conversion trends across the HomeAway worldwide network, identify breaks in trends, understand underlying drivers, and surface opportunities and threats

  • Develop self-service reporting for product and development teams, by collecting and integrating data from various sources, including web analytics tools and internal databases

  • Present a holistic analysis to Product Management leadership

Who you are:

  • Required Skills:

  • Be dedicated in solving business questions that data could potentially answer by producing top down data driven solutions to address them

  • Product development mindset and focus on actionable analytics: e.g. Ability to surface signals in our data and work to transform these into concrete actionable insights

  • Experience with Clickstream data or an Analytics tool (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc)

  • Innovative, global thinker & great teammate

  • Average SQL skills are required (MSSQL, BQ, Hive)

  • Skills in Tableau, R, Python are an added bonus for data analysis, structuring, transforming and visualizing

  • Statistical knowledge and modeling is an added bonus

  • Background and Experience:

  • Academic or work experience in an analytical field (e.g. Marketing Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics)

  • Ability to work independently

  • Proficient at analyzing and interpreting data

  • Consistent ability to produce quality, accurate and highly detailed work products

  • Experience in a relevant area travel, ecommerce, or real estate is a strong plus.

  • Inquisitive and curious minds only need to apply

The Benefit Operations Team is an integral part of People Operations. This role will report to the Benefit Operations Manager and support the Benefits COE from design, execution and maintenance of programs offered in the U.S. and Canada. The role will lead projects, process improvement and metric/dashboard creation to ensure a high touch employee experience. The person will work closely with the Benefits COE, Payroll, Legal, People Tools and HRBP teams. RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide operational data insights for U.S. and Canada to help team effectively manage programs. Provide operational perspective on upcoming projects and deliverables in partnership with internal and external stakeholders from design to implementation, developing scalable solutions and ensuring operation excellence. Analyze and develop key metrics for programs and consolidate data/information to present for review with primary stakeholders. Drive benefits process improvement activities, including process design, documentation, and training. Responsible for compliance reporting activities for U.S. and Canada (FSA NDT, SFHCSO). Conduct audits of data to ensure processes and policies are being managed effectively, and data quality is maintained/improved. Lead operational program management for Income Protection Programs. Manage content updates of assigned programs on People portal and other internal sites. Proactively identify, communicate, and seek resolution for business issues. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree 10+ years of experience in benefits Knowledge with COE Operating Model Experience coaching/mentoring team members Excel and PowerPoint experience Experience with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA and ACA Experience with outsourced Benefits Administration (10K+ Lives) Knowledge of end-to-end operations Interpersonal and collaborative work style experience Experienced evaluating, handling and running Requests for Proposal (RFP) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Experience working for a technology company Facebook Austin TX
