Ford Motor Company's Global Data, Insight, and Analytics (GDIA) organization is looking for a highly skilled Data Governance Supervisor. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest global subject matter experts that are transforming the automobile industry. Analyst will make recommendations for alternative ways to bring data to life to solve business problems. At times, the problem is identified by a business unit, frequently wishing to optimize cost, revenue, or improve quality, and at times problems are formulated by the Data Scientists. The role will be responsible for data governance with a focus on data security and related activities to ensure data is efficiently utilized as an enterprise asset.
The role of the Data Governance Supervisor is a critical enabler to the development of Ford's Enterprise Data Strategy including the Data Supply Chain (DSC). The supervisor will ensure Information Management activities fully support the business goals of GDI&A. The Data Governance Supervisor works closely with Data Operations & Infrastructure, Analytic Managers, IT Managers and other stakeholders to drive alignment and delivery of the Data Supply Chain (DSC) and deliver high quality data required to achieve business value. Provides thought and technology leadership in GDI&A for Data Governance and Data Management.
Lead a team within Data Governance supporting Information Management activities.
Provide thought leadership in Enterprise Data Management and Data Governance to support strategic data requirements, promote data reuse and data quality to deliver business value.
Lead and support creation of the Enterprise Data Model and a co.mmon business glossary.
Responsible for Informatica Data Management product suite, roadmap, enablement, implementation and maintenance.
Create, implement and maintain Reference Data Standards.
Lead knowledge and metadata management strategy and implementation.
Prepare and deliver training to GDI&A personnel globally data management practices and tools.
Utilize practices and tools to integrate with data security and protection tools ABAC/Ranger/Voltage.
Manage activities to support consistent Data Quality across all domains.
Communicate with IT partners - Enterprise and GDI&A.
Inform GDI&A management present/escalate/educate.
Develop team members, encourage both technical and data learnings.
Stay abreast of emerging data management trends and technologies.
Knowledge of data management standards, data governance practices and data quality metrics
Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills and ability to energize a team.
Ability to communicate findings to make data management actionable and understandable to team members, business partners, IT, analytic teams, etc.
Understanding of automotive or financial services data
