Everest Insurance has an exciting opportunity for a Data Governance & Quality Specialist in the Liberty Corner, NJ office. This role will ensure the data capture requirements for operational business team members and/or by automated processes meets precise standards, such as business rules and data definitions, to achieve accurate results for analytics, business intelligence, and reporting. This includes all necessary disciplines related to managing data as a valuable resource and through supporting the development of a long-term, sustainable foundation to meet organizational needs.
Identify data related shortcomings, both procedural and technical in nature, and solution for increasing capability of managing, capturing, and using data
Act as liaison between business leads, subject matter experts, Operations teams, and IT project leads to implement and maintain consistent data governance and quality improvement initiatives across functional areas
Support the analysis and documentation of data capture to execute upon reporting requirements to meet business needs
Investigate data quality related issues and trends via querying of databases and analysis of results
BA or BS degree
5+ years' work experience and solid understanding of Property & Casualty insurance company, preferred
Experience developing data and reporting queries, associated data analyses
Prior work experience on data warehousing and management reporting projects or initiatives
Data Management Certifications or equivalent work experience desired
Intermediate to advanced Excel, MS Access, PowerPoint, and SQL skills
