ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE

DATA ENTRY SPECIALIST

DEPARTMENT: Clerk's Office-Superior Court 1 & 2

HIRING RATE: Starting at $18.25/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday-Friday, 36 hours per week

LOCATION OF POSITION: Elkhart County Courts Building

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for processing and recording data, answering telephone, greeting clients, locating case file information, and performing various other clerical duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduate or equivalent

• 1-2 Years of experience in an office environment preferred

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, a resident of Elkhart County and a Registered Voter

• Ability to work alone or in a team environment

• Excellent organizational, communication skills and a sound knowledge of office procedures and practices

• Bilingual a plus

• Pre-employment background check
