As a Pharmacy Technician in our Data Entry department, you will assist with maintaining prescription information for both new and existing customers in collaboration with a team of pharmacists in accordance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. Successful candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Employees will be on-site for training during their 1st two weeks. Upon completion of training, all new colleagues will work from home. In order to do so, you will be required to have access to a reliable broadband internet connection, either through DSL, cable, or fiber-to- home (FiOS or Fiber Optic) with a minimum internet speed requirement of 10 mbps download and 5 mbps upload contracted speed, ability to connect to the PillPack network via a hardwired internet connection, not via WIFI, a separate room or part of a room for your home work area that is private and free of distractions (i.e. barking dogs, television noise, music, children, etc.) and is able to devote full attention to the PillPack customer during work hours. Note that while WFH is currently approved, it is subject to change in accordance with any regulatory requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist the pharmacist in filling prescription items, as permitted by the state board of pharmacy

  • Enter patient and order information into the pharmacy system

  • Provide quality customer service to co workers

  • Collect, organize, and evaluate of patient information

  • Receive prescriptions sent electronically from the doctor's office

  • Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that the information is complete and accurate

  • Establish and maintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients

  • Process new and refill prescriptions

  • Accept customer and prescription information required to process new and refill prescriptions, including refill authorization from doctor offices where permitted by state law

  • Communicate with patients by telephone and takes refill requests from patients. Transfers calls from providers to the pharmacist when necessary

  • Perform other tasks assigned while working in a fast paced environment

  • Work a flexible schedule - shifts will possibly start and end outside of normal business hours including weekends

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent diploma

  • Arizona State Board of Pharmacy License in good standing (This includes Pharmacy Technician, Trainee, and Assistant Licenses)

  • 6+ months of relevant experience working with computer and web based tools

  • Experience recognizing and identifying patient medications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA)

  • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member

  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician $18.00/hr

VIEW JOBS 10/20/2020 8:20:57 AM 2021-01-18T08:20 <span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Global Empire, LLC (GHG) is a Healthcare Staffing Company specialized in providing reliable and qualified healthcare professionals for Government contracts nationwide. <br />  <br /> We are seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician for an available contract opportunity to provide services for the inmates incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution Phoenix, AZ.<br />  <br /> Available Position): Pharmacy Technician<br />  <br /> Place of Performance: All services will be performed in the Health Services Department at FCI Phoenix located at 37900 N 45th Ave., Phoenix, Arizona 85086.<br /> <br /> Work Schedule: These services will be required five (5) days per week, normally consisting of eight (8), hours per day, Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 6:30 am - 2:00 pm, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period, (if applicable). The facility is expected to require an average of 40 hours per week. <br /> <br /> Period of Performance: Five (5) years and it can be extended.<br />  <br /> Description of Services (includes but it is not limited to):<br /> 1. Assist the staff pharmacist in ordering, stocking, storing, and dispensing of prescription and nonprescription<br /> medications while demonstrating knowledge of the budgetary guidelines and BOP Formulary constraints.<br /> 2. Possess a working knowledge and maintain technical computer skills pertaining to pharmacy issues.<br /> 9. Perform minor clerical duties; such as use of BOP electronic medical record, computer documentation and scheduling, scanning documents, filing, typing, call-outs, institutional memorandums, answering phones, scheduling patients, maintaining stock records, contacting vendors for pricing information along with preparing the appropriate ordering forms for supplies, and other general duties recognized as routine in a pharmacy setting.<br />  <br />  <br /> Position Requirements/Qualifications:<br /> The individual providing Pharmacy Technician services under this award must have completed a formal Pharmacy Technician Training Program with at least 10 months of course credit and satisfactorily completed internship.<br /> The applicant must have at least three (3) years of Pharmacy Technician experience and have a current CPR certification.
