The LCOE (Location Center of Excellence) team is responsible for identifying user location with high accuracy and decorating & contextualizing those location signals to enable content personalization to help provide rich and relevant experience and monetization by targeted advertising. We are developing complex scalable geolocation algorithms to derive deep insights on user location and building user knowledge to improve the quality of the experience.
LCOE's Oath in Three Words: Get Location Right
Design and develop fault-tolerant, high-performance, scalable, operable next generation platforms and data pipelines in batch and streaming to derive insights and solve complex problems and use cases.
Design/Develop new algorithms solve complex problems to solve business objectives.
Adhere to coding and documentation standards, participate in code reviews, and be a critical member of the LCOE engineering team
Work closely with product and management teams in influencing priorities
Actively participate in the agile development process.
BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related major
Strong fundamentals: data structures and algorithms
1-3 years of industry experience and high proficiency with Java
Experience working in an Unix environment
Strong technical and analytical skills
Strong communication skills
Experience with Big data technologies a big plus.
Experience with machine learning algorithms and/or statistical methods is a big plus.
