Data Engineer - Clearance Required - Ts/Sci

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer to develop data tools and system integrations within an enterprise data integration platform on an DoD Air Force program. This position is fully onsite in Washington, DC.

Must have active TS/SCI clearance

Responsibilities:

• Daily execution in data integration and ontology development projects.

• Administer test and implement computer databases, applying knowledge of database management systems

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Palantir Foundry - connecting to external systems; implementing, debugging, and optimizing data transforms; as well as designing and developing the ontology.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve database performance issues in pipelines, database capacity and database scalability

• Set up sources and syncs ingesting tabular data or raw files from external systems to Foundry

• Provide data engineering context during ontology design and implement pipelines backing ontology

• Coordinate changes to computer databases, plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard computer databases

• Contribute logic changes and performance improvements to transform pipelines feeding mission critical workflows

Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related field

• 5+ years in data system architecture and project management

• Extensive knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark) and Foundry programming languages (Python, PySpark, SQL, TypeScript).

• Experience developing data integration and workflows in the Palantir Foundry or equivalent data integration platform.

• Extensive experience briefing complex projects to DAF Senior Leaders (General Officer / Senior Executive Service).

• Experience working in dynamic environments with stakeholders from multiple external organizations.

Compensation:

$140,000 -150,000k *depending on experience and degree
