Data Engineer - SQL Ssis

3Ci Solutions Team is seeking three skilled Data Engineers specializing in SQL Server and SSIS for a project with a regional banking Client. The project involves designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines to move data between a SQL Server database hosted on Azure and a mainframe system. The engagement is initially for 12 months, with opportunities for some positions to transition to full-time roles after the contract phase.

This project entails designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to extract data from Azure SQL Server database and load it into a mainframe system. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and optimization of ETL processes for performance and scalability are key aspects of the role.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Experience with SSIS, SWL Server, and complex SQL queries and development

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on SQL Server and SSIS

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL processes using SSIS

• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and ETL processes

General Requirements

• Availability to work in the Central Time Zone

• Strong proficiency in SQL and database concepts, with experience working with Azure SQL Server

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• US citizen or green card

Preferred Requirements

• Familiarity with Azure and Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Familiarity with mainframe systems and experience converting files to VSAM format

Essential Functions

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using SSIS

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop efficient data transfer solutions

• Optimize ETL processes for performance and scalability

• Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data pipeline

• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes
