Eaton's IT team is currently seeking a Palantir

  • Data Engineer to join team. This position will be based remotely in the United States.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105,000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you'll do:

This Lead Analyst role will be supporting several data applications and data integrations in Eaton's Supply Chain and cross value streams ecosystem. This role will be primarily responsible for Design, development, application support and linking of new data sources. This role will also require defect, incident and Change management skills. The incumbent in this role will work in a team of around 20 within the Integrations and Data Management Organization.

This will be IT driven end to end analytical platform. This role is based at Eaton US office. The role is end to end, hands on, planning, coding, testing, coordinating and learning. This role involves significant amount of Global stakeholder management across India, Europe and the US which is very critical aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the needs of the business through dialogue with stakeholders.

  • Alignment with Product Owners of the acceptance criteria for Jira Stories.

  • Understanding the technical tools and complexity.

  • planning the solutions for delivering on User Stories.

  • Collaborating with other team members, including Engineers, Business Analysts, and Architects to plan the best solutions.

  • Sizing tasks, and to make the backlog timing transparent and visible.

  • Implement lean ideas and performance driven frameworks

  • Dealing with issues raised in a timely, effective and efficient manner (raised through Service Now)

Essential Functions:

  • Involves working in a highly matrixed organization spanning domestic and international locations.

  • Responsible for process, standards, governance , performance of the technical environments.

  • Aware of industry automation trends, contribute in identifying and resolving business cases, develop prototypes and proofs of concept

  • Collaborate with business and development teams to drive robust testing methodologies

  • Work within operational and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum 8 years of data engineering experience

  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP's like SAP, ORACLE etc

  • Experience with Palantir platform stack like foundry etc

  • Experience of both SQL/On Premise and Cloud Databases

Position Criteria:

  • Good interpersonal, communication skills, particularly with respect to written and oral communication, including the ability to explain technical concepts.

  • Problem solving

  • Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Palantir ecosystem like foundry etc

  • Azure, Python/PySpark

  • PowerBI

  • Informatica (cloud/IDMC) desirable

  • Source Control GitHub desirable
