Job Description:

The Innovation Team at Merrill Corporation is driven to help our employees spend their time on creative problem solving by utilizing robotics, automation, and other techniques to perform repeatable, precise, and mundane operations. We are seeking passionate people who are excited about building end to end solutions, ultimately enabling the organization to spend its time on what provides value. You will be on the front edge of the information technology transformation at Merrill, creating lasting value in your work. We combine disciplines of Automated Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, Software Development, and Cloud Infrastructure. This is a technology intensive position, relying on data and process to transform how the Finance and Technology organization manage their work. In addition to technology, this team pushes the boundaries of ways to work trying to better understand the future worker. We are excited about bring aboard talented, driven, and capable individuals to this team.

This is a full-time employment opportunity onsite at Merrill Corporate Headquarters in St. Paul, MN.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties:

Duties

  • Develop cloud infrastructure specifically, Data Lake Store, Data Lake Analytics, and Machine Learning.

  • Report and Dashboard development in PowerBI

  • PowerApps/Custom web apps development

  • Flow/Logic Apps development

  • End to End UI/UX Design of Internal Applications (i.e. SharePoint, Project Online, MS Teams)

Skills

  • Proficient at Excel

o Basic charts/graphs

o Formulas

o Solver

o Pivot Tables

  • Understanding of Object-oriented programming

  • Understanding of Relational Databases

  • Intermediate-advanced math and statistics

  • "Customer-oriented" disposition

  • Financial and Analytical Modeling experience

  • Understanding of SQL, TSQL, USQL

  • UI/UX Experience with Power BI or Tableau

o Knowledge of Power Query, M, DAX

  • Experience developing in C#

  • Experience developing in Python

  • Experience in Microsoft Azure

  • Experience in Agile Product Development

  • Experience in Machine learning, Azure Machine Learning a plus

  • Familiarity with .NET, JSON, HTTP and secure application development a plus

  • Familiarity with Robotics Processing Automation (RPA) Software such as UiPath a plus

Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft O365 toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Experience dealing with multiple teams and have a business customer centric approach.

  • Comfortable operating in a technologically dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge and comfort in using all applications included in the Microsoft Office Product Suite.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced company environment.

  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills.

  • Interest in the concerns and topics related to financial data governance

  • Interest in AI, blockchain, automation in general, cutting edge technology

  • 1-2 years of corporate experience

  • Flexibility to work odd hours (up to 25%) or from home/remotely and with other countries
