Category: Engineering / Infrastructure Duties: The Business Intelligence (BI) team is looking to hire a Data Engineer to build robust, extensible, and scalable data and BI solutions for Pinterest's product org. These solutions could be a combination of one or more of the following: source-of-truth datasets, daily/hourly pipelines, dashboards, visualization tools, and alerting.This role will entail the following responsibilities:Understand the data landscape of Pinterest products Design, architect, and implement new source of truth datasets, in partnership with analytics and business teamsBuild the required data and reporting pipelines using Pinterest's internal ETL tools Develop dashboards, web-based visualizations (using Tableau, D3, or Plotly), and web-based tools (node.js or flask apps)Collaborate with other engineering teams to develop and integrate BI solutionsSkills:Experience designing, architecting, and maintaining data warehouses that seamlessly stitches together data from production databases and clickstream event dataHands-on experience with Hive query development and optimization, and, building workflows (preferably using Airflow)Hands-on experience with building data pipelines in a programming language like PythonHands-on experience with building and maintaining Tableau dashboards and/or Jupyter reportsWorking understanding of Hadoop and Big data analytics Ability to understand the needs of and collaborate with stakeholders from analytics and business teamsEducation:Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related quantitative/analytics discipline and at least three (3) years of experience in the field of data engineering or business intelligence/analyticsRequired Skills:PYTHONHIVEETLBIG DATA ANALYTICSDATA WAREHOUSE DESIGN/ARCHITECTURETableau dashboards and/or Jupyter reports ENGINEERDATA VISUALIZATIONAWSTableau, D3, or Plotlynode.js or flask appsPreferred:Airflow

VIEW JOBS 1/20/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-04-20T00:00 Scientific Data Project Coordinator II The candidate will perform program operations, data management, and data analysis tasks to support the use of genomic real-world data in biomarker discovery and companion diagnostic development efforts in the Oncology Biomarker Development department. In the process of performing this work, the candidate will communicate extensively with scientists, research associates, operations managers, clinical data managers, analysts and vendor representatives. Duties may include: * Workflow/program management: fielding requests for cancer genomic data, communicating with external partners who fulfill data requests, making data available internally for broader accessibility across the organization * Performing cancer genomic data analyses * Tracking and communicating workflow/program metrics * Supporting design, implementation, and improvement of workflow/program processes * Communicating with program users to track usage of data in oncology R&D * Working collaboratively to develop and maintain tools and resources for program workflows and data analyses (e.g. reference materials, FAQs, web portals) * Scheduling & coordinating meetings among stakeholders, managing minutes and action items Requirements: * Master's degree in genomics, molecular biology, cancer biology, bioinformatics, or equivalent; or bachelor's degree in a life science field with at least three years of experience working in the biosciences * Cancer biology or cancer genomics background * Strong organizational skills with very high attention to detail * Good collaborator with excellent communication skills * Computational skills, including but not limited to Excel & Google suite Desired skills: * Experience analyzing large datasets * Experience with data visualization and/or data management * Aptitude for project management * Familiarity with genomic data resources (e.g. TCGA, cBioPortal, COSMIC, etc.) Planet Pharma South San Francisco CA
