Data Engineer - Bellarmine University

Job Description:

As a Data Engineer at Bellarmine University, you will play a critical role in maintaining our data warehouse, ensuring data integrity, and establishing integration standards across various platforms. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and optimize data pipelines that drive business insights. Data Warehouse:

• Manage and optimize our data warehouse infrastructure.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.

Data Integration:

• Establish standards for integrating data across different platforms.

• Collaborate with software developers to create consistent and efficient data pipelines.

Data Access:

• Partner with Bellarmine's Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness.

• Assist in improving efficiency of reporting data structures.

• Advise on data security best practices.

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and four years of hands-on experience in a similar role, but additional experience in a relevant technical field will be considered.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, C#, & PowerShell).

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases.

Experience:

• Practical experience building and optimizing data pipelines.

• Root cause analysis for process improvement.

• Windows Server

• SQL Server

• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

• Power BI

• Ellucian Colleague (or similar student information systems)
