The core functions for this position is to perform analyses, create data visualizations and presentations to support the programmatic buyers and client service teams. The Data Analyst will primarily work on analyses for digital programmatic performance related to both client and internal KPIs. The Data Analyst will be responsible for working with various data sets (querying databases utilizing SQL, etc.) to support a4 Media's business needs and ensuring compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing data quality audits and analysis.
The main functions the data analyst performs are:
Development of dashboard reports and ad hoc analysis utilizing SQL and data interface modules
Establish and QC data pipelines for reporting and analytical purposes
Creates high quality deliverables that are both actionable and understandable to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Anticipates analytical needs proactively reviewing data gathering and anomalies within reporting and brings to management's attention
Delivers on short-term requests along with complex analyses
Using data analysis to understand new data structures and sources
Produce data visualizations to communicate complex relationships regarding campaign delivery and performance clearly
Develop reports that highlight the content areas that are most interesting and relevant to analysis goals
Aggregating and reviewing data from numerous sources to create a cohesive, easy to understand reporting message
Minimum Undergraduate degree in related discipline (Graduate degree preferred)
1-2 Years minimum relevant working experience preferred
Comfort working with large data sets
Relational database structure understanding (Hadoop, Google BigQuery, Redshift)
Analytical and data visualization skills. SQL programming and knowledge of R OR Python required. Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required.
Advanced data visualization knowledge preferred (Tableau, DOMO, or other applications. Plotly dash, matplotlib, bokeh, seaborn, etc)
Ability to communicate data insights to all levels of external and internal clients and stakeholders
Fast learner who is not afraid of constant changes; high adaptability
Team oriented individual
