Data Coordinator/Research Assistant for Pediatric AIDS Clinical Trials Group (PACTG) protocols in the Pediatric AIDS Program (Section of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Department of Pediatrics). This person is responsible for overall data management activities generated from a variety of NIH-funded, Phase I through III PACTG clinical trials. The Data Coordinator works within the guidelines of the PACTG/Division of AIDS and in collaboration with the main unit of the Boston PACTG at Children's Hospital/Boston.
Responsibilities include data entry, data entry deadlines, data entry query and error resolution, data quality, patient randomization (computerized enrollment onto protocols), and communications with the ACTG Statistical Data Analysis Center (SDAC), plus daily communication with the site's principal investigator at BMC. The Data Coordinator will also work and interact with a variety of professionals in a multidisciplinary research environment.Bachelor's degree required. Experience with or knowledge of data entry application.
Computer skills include knowledge of PCs, MS-DOS, Windows, word processing (WordPerfect, Microsoft Word). Knowledge of PowerPoint a plus. Should be well organized, able to be flexible to meet the needs of the site, possess good communication skills. Must be self motivated and able to work independently. Knowledge of medical terminology useful.
