We are looking for a full-time Data Collection Assistant to join our Occupational Health Services team. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent experience, proficiency with computers, and will have excellent attention to detail. Position description

Collaborates with medical and allied health staff to collect and summarize departmental data regarding patients served and personnel activity. Patient and staff data is collected and entered daily.

Data reports are generated and used for monitoring patient status, satisfaction, treatment volumes and therapist activity. Reporting frequency varies, including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Prepares and maintains statistical information for ongoing and special reports.

Develops new databases for special projects. Provides data and secretarial support for department-related committees and assumes responsibility for delegated administrative tasks. Serves as computer consultants

Qualifications

Requires high school degree or equivalent experience. Must have computer experience.

Additional qualifications

Must possess proficiency on technical office equipment, including a computer for word processing and other applications, printer, phone system, duplicating machine, and/or any other job specific office technology. Requires strong organizational skills, superior clerical aptitude including the office practices of filing; preparation of charts, graphs, spreadsheets, overheads, reports, agendas and minutes; Internet/Intranet applications; and/or other job specific documents.

Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills in order to recognize and revise inconsistencies, discrepancies, and inaccuracies in data. Must maintain strict confidentiality of information and must exhibit good human relations skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and professionally to build rapport with others at all levels of responsibility. Must be adaptable/flexible in a changing work environment which requires upgrading of skills. Medical terminology helpful.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $17.46 per hour.
