Data Center Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales Engineer)This position is with a successful Global Solutions/Services firms and we are looking for a strong Pre-sales Resource to join their team in the Bay Area.
We need a strong background in on and off premise hybrid IT solutions for Data Centers.
In short we seek a Data Center Generalist with pre-sales experience.
We are looking for specific experience in designing and architecting, or selling and implementing DC solutions.
Areas of interest include Storage, Servers, Virtualization, Security and some Cloud.
This is a heavy Customer facing Pre-Sales Engineering role.
This position will produce high level architectural design work and present a range of software and hardware solutions specific to Data Center needs.
You will be designing and delivering solutions and proposals and will be writing technical documentation.
This position will be meeting directly with clients, leading technical sessions (White Board, PowerPoint, etc.), as well as working closely with the sales team so excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
You will be interacting with, and negotiating with key stake holders, including C-level executives.
You will work very closely with account executives and be a player in the growth of their Data Center practice.
Youll also be joining a team of great people.

OTE is a 60/40 plan with 60% being base.
OTE is guaranteed for the first year.

VIEW JOBS 11/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-07T00:00 The Data Center Sales Executive will be responsible for acquiring and growing DellEMC's Data Center Products (Server, Storage, Networking, Services, and Enterprise Infrastructure) within their assigned accounts. This is a home office opportunity with expectations of 10 - 12 onsite sales calls per week. You will be expected to work within DellEMC's version of Salesforce to include Account Planning and research, Trip Reports, and Account Maintenance. You must be able to accurately forecast your business and grow pipeline within current quarter and outlying quarters. This is a high activity position with growth potential. This is a Remote opportunity and the ideal candidate will be based in San Francisco. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the day to day management of Medium Business Accounts in the San Francisco area, with focus on the Data Center. A cross-functional leader, working with both inside and outside support agencies, as well as Channel Partners to provide customized Data Center Solutions to our Customers. * Supports a range of accounts in San Francisco * Interfaces directly with customers to ensure satisfaction with our storage solutions and maintain a positive ongoing relationship * Full understanding of how our business model relates to selling our Data Center products and services * Able to negotiate with others to achieve desired results/meet customer needs * In-depth understanding of the Go to Market Strategy and value proposition Essential Requirements * Activity Driven Customer facing meetings * Typically 5+ years of related experience in a relationship selling role with a bachelor's degree * Typically 5+ years of field sales experience * Accurately forecast your business and the ability to grow pipeline quarter on quarter * In-depth knowledge of strategic planning, company products and services * In-depth oral, written, and presentation communication skills to interact with upper leadership, staff, vendors and clients * Home Office Based with travel in the San Francisco area.
