Description:This position is responsible for the management of all raised floor hardware at the Lockheed data center. This includes the layout of the raised floor, power and network connectivity management and full inventory management. Some other responsibilities that are included but not limited to are:

Maintain the DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) application. This includes the layout of the raised floors, power, network connectivity management and full inventory management

Installation of Raised Floor Hardware

  • Racks

  • Coordination power with facilities

  • Compute hardware support (Windows, Linux, Mainframe, On-Prem cloud and virtual solutions)

  • Storage hardware

  • Network hardware

Inventory Management of all standard hardware and cabling

All Raised Floor Management Activities

  • Working with facilities to manage capacity (power, cooling and floor loading)

  • Raised floor organization/readiness for tours

  • Providing tours as requested

  • Management of unused cables and infrastructure (especially from underfloor areas)

Hardware Lifecycle and Asset Management

  • Supporting the shipping and receiving of all assets.

  • Support asset management and audit activities

  • RFID asset tagging and management of all data center hardware

  • Managing standards for surplus hardware and removal of surplus assets that no longer have a business need

  • Maintain a current re-usable hardware inventory to improve availability (quicker return to service during outages)

Hardware Break/Fix

  • Pro-Active identification of hardware that needs support or replacement

  • Troubleshoot hardware issues, perform upgrades and maintenance support

Windows Server Administration

  • Familiarity with the Windows Server OS

  • Solid Windows Server troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with monitoring and performance/capacity planning a plus

  • Ability to remote-login to a server to implement configuration changes or to apply maintenance

  • Some familiarity with Windows clusters a plus

  • Some familiarity with Windows disk storage a plus

  • SQL Server, Oracle, or other database fundamentals a plus

  • Windows audit and compliance experience a plus (DR, Sarbanes-Oxley, DCAA, E&Y, etcetera)

This is not a virtual position. This position is located at the Lockheed Martin Denver Data Center location.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of basic hardware and network fundamentals

  • Basic understanding of network and data cabling

  • Basic understanding of Data Center Architecture

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Demonstrated self-starter with experience successfully working independently

  • Demonstrated experience with a fast paced work environment

  • Effective problem-solving skills demonstrated through related work experience

  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed (weekends, evenings, off shifts, on call rotation) to support mission requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin EBS systems, processes and toolsets

  • Datacenter hardware break/fix support and experience

  • Experience working in a raised floor environment

  • Experience and knowledge with network and power capacity planning

Description of the Work: * Monitor performance levels of large-scale storage and network systems to ensure system resource availability. * Analyze and perform troubleshooting of identified issues. * Consult with and coordinate all operational components concerning the scheduling of systems time for multi-vendor remedial service or preventive maintenance, and critical system software testing. * Analyze and develop solutions relative to computer hardware. * Analyze existing storage capacity and performance demands for tape and virtual tape systems. Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of work experience, or Master's Degree and 7 years of work experience, or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. * 3 years of experience supporting IBM MQ infrastructure including implementation and configuration. * 3 years of experience using SMP/E to install and maintain IBM MQ on the mainframe. * Possess US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) status. * Ability to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance. * Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working with the SSA. * Experience with MS Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
