Global IT Facilities Services is responsible for overseeing all of Ford's computing facilities' infrastructure, including its data centers, co-location facilities, network hubs, manufacturing computer rooms, and office sites. The department is responsible for the planning, engineering, and monitoring of all supporting mechanical and electrical IT infrastructure across the Ford global campus. In short, Global IT Facilities Services is the foundation on which all IT is built.

Global IT Facilities Services is responsible for overseeing the infrastructure for all of Ford computing facilities, which includes its data centers, co-location facilities, network hubs, manufacturing computer rooms, and office sites. The department is responsible for the planning, engineering, and monitoring of all supporting mechanical and electrical IT infrastructure across the Ford global campus. In short, Global IT Facilities Services is the foundation on top of which all of IT is built.

As part of this team, you will work with NA and SA manufacturing sites, reviewing existing infrastructure and providing recommendations for enhancements. You will also collaborate with EU and IMG counterparts for regional knowledge sharing and global standardization and work, and you will work with finance and project management teams to obtain and manage funding, as well as direct and manage equipment procurement, delivery, and installation.

What you'll be able to do:

• Assess Manufacturing Sites' electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

• Design electrical and mechanical infrastructure for plant data centers.

• Generate recommendations based on on-site assessment.

• Project Manage - supervise equipment procurement, delivery, and installation.

• Supervise site construction and equipment installation.

• Work with electrical and mechanical SMEs; and Ford Land Architecture and Engineering firms.

• Implement data center connectivity and analytic software.

• Financial analysis; present recommendation to management.

• Technology Research - understanding industry trends and failure modes to mitigate risk to Ford facilities.
