Job Description

NOTE: This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.

What you get to do in this role:

• As a Data Center Architect, you will be a member of the Data Center Services team that is responsible for global infrastructure design, standards, and implementation. You will:

• Use your experience in Data Center cable infrastructure installations to implement, communicate, execute, and assist with procedures including cable presentation, material order creation, and defining project scope of work.

• Lay the groundwork for the cable infrastructure that will be utilized to ensure success for our global Data Center Operations team.

• Provide an onsite presence for cable infrastructure installations around the world.

• Generate site observation reports on conveyance and cable infrastructure installations.

• Ensure compliance is followed and maintained in the Data Center environment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Center related cable infrastructure installations with a record of increasing role responsibility.

• 50% or more travel is required.

• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.

• Familiar or experienced with a variety of cable manufacturer's testing specifications.

• Knowledgeable on manufacturer's documentation for installation and presentation guidelines.

• General understanding of Data Center facilities and infrastructure including power, HVAC, structured cabling, rack management and security.

• Working knowledge of networking/server architecture and hardware, cable connections and types.

• Experience managing vendors in a Data Center environment.

• Process oriented and experienced in process development.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to multi-task several unrelated issues.

• Ability to undergo a background check and obtain federal adjudication.
