Data Architect/Data Modeler

Duties:
Manage the data structures required to support the enterprise through the BI program
Provides the means of system integration by understanding the source and target data and build the data mapping.
Determining architectural approaches for data environments and helps ensure that the data needs of the enterprise are being met
Responsible for developing and maintaining a formal description of the data and data structures - this can include data definitions, data models
Design strategy and design for managing history data

Skills:
Requires experience using CA-Erwin as data modeling tool
Ability to understand the customers business requirements, business processes and system functionality to develop Date data Model and maintain the source of data.
Extensive experience of working in Teradata is mandatory.
Able to perform conceptual, logical and physical data modeling and design.
Experience in Data Modeling, Database Performance Tuning
Choose between an appropriately normalized data model or a more dimensionalized model
Ability to choose when to use aggregation, how to model time and history
Strong familiarity with the data being populated in the new models in order to assist with quality assurance and serve as the subject matter expert for model
Work with Reporting and ETL team to define requirements for Data Quality monitoring and support the design thereof
Good understanding of data modeling techniques for high volume transaction systems.
Good communication skills (Verbal + Written) and convincing skills to various stakeholders.

The individual will ensure that NantHealth is creating an integrated and robust data technology platform and ecosystem that supports the business strategy. We are looking for a strong and innovative leader that will develop, plan and lead the execution of the strategy and roadmap for data management. A successful candidate will be both technically strong and business savvy. The Basics * Oversee and direct the strategic planning of Data Engineering Operations. * Build and manage the NantHealth data platform while ensuring stakeholders are engaged in overall design strategies, operations and projects. * Ensure data integrity, quality, governance, stability, accessibility, durability, and performance. * Drive project delivery within established timeframes, budget and scope while delivering business value and simultaneously planning for and managing future requirements. * Provide technical direction on design, development, testing and implementation of data warehouse solutions, ensuring data quality. * Develop and oversee data engineering goals, objectives and procedures. * Build and lead a talented team of data engineers responsible for data pipelining, collection, management, and integration. * Continuously drive innovation, evaluate and prototype emerging technologies. What You Bring * Minimum of a bachelor's degree in relevant field with 10 years of experience. * Strong foundation in big data ecosystem technologies including hands on experience implementing scalable data ingestion, storage, processing and publication solutions. * Extensive knowledge and experience in architecting modern data ingestion/integration framework and highly scalable distributed systems, with hands on experience with traditional (Oracle, Informatica) and modern/open source data processing solutions. * Experience with external cloud (e.g. AWS) data applications and capabilities including compute, storage, database and APIs. * Expert ability to evaluate, prototype and recommend open source and vendor technologies and platforms. * Expertise with Big Data platforms and engineering tools. * Close attention to detail and solid prioritization and organization skills. Work closely with PMO team to plan and manage budget for projects, maintenance, and resources. * Proven experience with data management best practices such as data governance, data security, data warehousing, metadata management and data quality. * Experience managing multiple, simultaneous development projects, and managing technology assets and operations across multiple sites and internal/external resources. Deep understanding of methods and tooling of continuous integration, delivery and deployment. Strong execution skills in a fast-paced environment using agile methodologies. * Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with Engineering, Data Science, and Executive teams * Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
