Data Architect

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Data Architect to join our team for an exciting project in Azure data modeling and integration. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL Server, Azure, data warehouse, and data modeling to design and develop a robust SQL Data model in Azure. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data processing and analysis, working with transactional data from a 3rd party product and facilitating its movement into a mainframe system through ETL processes.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience

• Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role, with expertise in SQL Server, Azure, data warehouse, and data modeling

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing SQL Data models in Azure, focusing on scalability, performance, and security

• Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes

Essential Functions

• Design and develop a scalable SQL Data model in Azure to meet organizational requirements for data storage and processing

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical solutions

• Implement best practices for data modeling, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and performance

• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes using SQL Server and Azure technologies

• Develop and maintain data integration processes for ETL of data into the mainframe system

• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy and completeness

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data architecture, providing innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities

• Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with troubleshooting and issue resolution

• Document data architecture designs, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and continuity

• Perform other tasks as required
