Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical field and four to nine years of related technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

As the Data Architect Manager, you will be responsible for building the university's strategic analytics environment including management of the data technology stack and oversight of data models that bring together diverse families of structured and unstructured data. This position requires the integration of technical and subject matter expertise to deliver a meaningful and user-friendly analytics platform and data distribution platform.
Responsibilities include: Team building, setting guidelines, maturing the architecture, oversight of operations and continuous improvement. Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver the data platforms for analytics in accordance with established guidelines for architecture and governance that leverage best practices for data modeling, ETL and data quality.
Work collaboratively with multiple user groups to assess the analytical needs and identify dependencies across organization and tools to implement an enterprise wide data architecture to support cross domain data integration for reporting, and analytics. Plan for and drive the design, build and deployment of standardized and stratified metrics and related details for the user's sphere of influence. Provide oversight to the design of data movement (ETL) processes that deliver seamless connections between data for robust cross-functional views and timely delivery of accurate data.
Incorporate/embed a continuous improvement orientation to sustain value-added technical deliverables through focus on accuracy, training, and promotion of best practices. Build and maintain metadata repositories, data dictionaries, data lineage tracking and data quality score cards. Advance process automation and operational management through the use of metrics.
Support the data layers/objects of a Service Oriented Architecture. Contribute effectively as organization progresses from standard reporting to higher levels of consumption including data science with predictive analytics and deep learning methods. Act as a change agent to create appropriate teams and manage team performance to meet aggressive reporting requirement timelines.
Manage and develop staff; provide coaching and feedback to encourage and motivate individuals and groups. Working with a diverse set of clients, analyze customer requirements, create requests for proposal responses, project effort estimates and delivery. Set the learning agenda for developers to ensure their professional growth and development. May perform other duties as assigned.
