The Data and Clinical Support Specialist is part of the Clinical Services Team in the School of Nursing & Health Innovations (SONHI). This position is responsible for executing processes and communications to support course schedule development, coordination of didactic and clinical schedules and regulatory compliance related to students and faculty. This position also has responsibilities related to supporting relationships with community partners and ensuring accuracy of clinical requirements for students placed with those agencies and assists with activities related to accreditation, retention, course completion, graduation, and/or transfer rates at SONHI.

Core Duties

  • Manage regulatory compliance for SONHI students and faculty.

  • Develop and maintain SONHI course schedules and communicate with Registrar regarding changes.

  • Manage course and clinical placement schedule and processes for School of Nursing & Health Innovations students and faculty, including clinical partner requirements.

  • Engage in faculty assignment processes with Clinical Services Team and collaborate with the Director of the Simulated Health Center.

  • Work closely with the Director for Center of Clinical Excellence to ensure that clinical placements meet current student needs.

  • Participate in Student Max placement consortium, DEU Partner meetings and activities, School of Nursing & Health Innovations Undergraduate Curriculum Committee, and other relevant committees; attend monthly meetings and contribute to work of assigned sub-committees.

  • Support and participate in execution of School of Nursing & Health Innovations events.

  • Answer phone and assist with in-person customer service at SONHI office.

  • Assist with accreditation, licensure, and evaluation processes; develop, update and revise School of Nursing & Health Innovations and University databases; create reports and queries; maintain job procedure manual; oversee implementation of evaluation software.

  • Manage relevant relationships internal and external to the University.

  • Provide guidance to other staff employees; may contribute to development of staff training programs.

  • Provide advice to internal and external constituencies and/or organizations; may act as subject matter expert in a specialized field.

  • Gather and analyze information and develop reports and presentations.

Other duties as relevant to the duties of the position or as assigned by supervisor or designee.

Education & Experience

  • Required: Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience.

  • Preferred: Master's degree

  • Preferred: Two years of experience in higher education

  • Or a combination of equivalent education and/or experience.

Physical Requirements
