Wage Range: $128,461 - $205,546 per year
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Job Summary
Responsible for oversight and management of all programs and associated staff within the Analytics Department, including but not limited to:
Business Intelligence Platform Architecture and Data Flow Maintenance
Data Collection, Processing, Modeling, and Analysis as per business requirements to support the analytics needs of the organization
Development of Enterprise Reporting and Analytics Solutions and Toolkits
Development of Optimal Processes and Procedures for Analytics Staff
Development and Oversight of the Data Stewardship Action Plan
Primary Duties
Work closely with leaders across clinical, financial, and operational departments to design and develop analytics solutions to support data-driven decisions as well as to create an environment that is safe for patients, provides efficient, effective care, and is attractive as a place to work and practice medicine
Assist organizational leaders in the examination and interpretation of results of analytics solutions, with a key focus on transforming raw data into information that can be quickly and easily consumed for decision-making
Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities
Oversee the build, development, and maintenance of data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions
Design and build technical processes to address business analytics needs
Recruit, retain, coach, train, develop, evaluate performance, and supervise analyst-level employees, creating an environment of high expectations that attracts, engages, and retains qualified staff
Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees
Develop comprehensive policies, processes, departmental standards, and quality controls and departmental standards to meet organizational and regulatory requirements
Manage and optimize Data Stewardship, developing a plan for data intake, validation, documentation, modeling, and visualization, including oversight of data/report requests, tracking, approval, and prioritization
Work with the Director on Analytics to develop an organizational Analytics Roadmap, identifying goals and milestones, anticipating future demands and emerging technologies to meet the evolving analytics needs of the organization as well as developing and reporting on measurements of success
Responsible for project, resource, and capacity planning
Develop departmental goals and objectives that support those of the organization
Perform other duties as assigned
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, Health Information Management or other related field, or equivalent education/experience
6 years of related experience or combination of education/experience
Experience implementing or supporting Business Intelligence or Analytics applications in a clinical work environment
Demonstrated ability to work with and facilitate multidisciplinary groups as part of system support
Leadership ability, have initiative, and be resourceful
Demonstrated project management experience and success leading cross-functional teams
DESIRED for the position:
Master's degree in Business Intelligence, Business Systems, or other related field, or equivalent education/experience
Leadership or supervisory experience
Epic Analytics Certifications
Expert SQL Programming Skills
