Data Analyst

Piper Companies is seeking a Data Analyst highly skilled with collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover insights and support informed decision-making within an organization. The ideal Data Analyst will be hybrid 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in Durham, NC.

Requirements for the Data Analyst include:

• Identify improvement opportunities by collaborating with business leaders and users.
• Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and pain points.
• Establish KPIs to measure and track business effectiveness.
• Work with analysts and associates to process and analyze information.
• Create process flows for business procedures and evaluate potential system enhancements.
• Prioritize multiple projects, manage the issue backlog, and communicate with end users as a system expert.

Qualifications for the Data Analyst include:

• 5+ years of experience working hands on with SQL and Power BI.
• 2+ years of experience in the insurance field, life/annuity preferred.
• Worked with SSIS
• Strong understanding of R and Python
• Ability to work with multiple projects at once
• Communicate and document requirements from business stakeholders and technical leaders
• Bachelors degree in computer information systems or related field, Masters preferred.
• Must be able to hold a security clearance in the US

Compensation for the Data Analyst includes:

• Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
