Piper Companies is seeking a Data Analyst highly skilled with collecting, processing, and analyzing data to uncover insights and support informed decision-making within an organization. The ideal Data Analyst will be hybrid 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in Durham, NC.
Requirements for the Data Analyst include:
- Identify improvement opportunities by collaborating with business leaders and users.
- Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and pain points.
- Establish KPIs to measure and track business effectiveness.
- Work with analysts and associates to process and analyze information.
- Create process flows for business procedures and evaluate potential system enhancements.
- Prioritize multiple projects, manage the issue backlog, and communicate with end users as a system expert.
Qualifications for the Data Analyst include:
- 5+ years of experience working hands on with SQL and Power BI.
- 2+ years of experience in the insurance field, life/annuity preferred.
- Worked with SSIS
- Strong understanding of R and Python
- Ability to work with multiple projects at once
- Communicate and document requirements from business stakeholders and technical leaders
- Bachelors degree in computer information systems or related field, Masters preferred.
- Must be able to hold a security clearance in the US
Compensation for the Data Analyst includes:
- Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
- Comprehensive benefit package; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k match plus PTO, Sick leave as required by law, and Paid Holidays
