Job Description
Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries that designs, manufactures, and builds steel modular buildings in a full construction project setting, is seeking a Data Analyst, located at our Killeen TX manufacturing plant
The position will report into the Killeen Plant Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Developing and improving current reports for Z-Modular that are sent out Daily
Ability to analyze inventory data and material movements
Basic Understanding of BoM's and Routings to be able to spot opportunities for efficiency gains
Reporting of daily Operations Metrics through Excel Reports, with ability to learn Power BI, by combining serval data sources
Support month-end close through data analysis and ability to arrive at answers promptly and accurately
Month end reporting of plant projects and ability to do WIP analysis
Variance analysis on projects, production facilities, and monthly financial statements
Identify areas of improvement within the finance function and implement changes
Collect and analyze information to determine costs of business activities such as the use and installation of raw materials, labor use for production, and cost differences contrast between differing modules and facilities production.
Analyze changes on the methods of production, goods and services provided, and even raw materials to know how they affect finished goods cost.
Produce the documentation of data for daily reporting disciplines, operating reviews and quarterly reports.
Identify possible opportunities for improving the efficiency of production with the main aim of increasing efficiencies, effectiveness and growing profits.
Cost analysis of projects: This includes but is not limited to estimated material consumption VS actual material consumption, labor hours, and overhead.
Auditing of current projects to make sure proper assignment of physical materials matches recorded (SAP) material assignment.
Support any other functions as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
Bachelor's degree and/or 3 or more years' experience
Ability to think Critically and Problem Solving Abilities
Exposure to a manufacturing environment
Must have advanced knowledge of Excel
Keen attention to detail and quality focus
Driven to meet deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate in person and in writing
Hands-on experience with ERP Software packages
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Remain in stationary position for most of the day.
Occasional movement inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
Ability to lift up to 10lbs
Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
