Data Analyst to support eCommerce Applications Development

Navistar, Inc is a truck manufacturing company pursuing several digital transformation efforts to support aggressive business goals and improve our customer's digital experience.

BS in Computer Science or related degree and 3 years experience

This Data Analyst will play a key role in the eCommerce Applications Development Group preparing service parts data for new applications and environments along with optimizing data quality across the company.


  • Working closely with Business and IT Subject Matter Experts, assist with data discovery, cleansing, transformation, and validation

  • Analyze the magnitude of data issues, system/business impacts, and the effort required to improve data quality

  • As new content is created, validate/load content and assist with optimizing usage on eCommerce sites and in legacy applications

  • Map legacy data to new environments and lead data migration activities

  • Develop metrics and reports using a variety of environments & tools to measure and improve data quality

  • Assist with designing business processes to structure and maintain data sources and processes

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL (Open SQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)

  • Hadoop environment, including Hive and Impala SQL

  • Google Analytics

  • Operating systems: VMS, DB2, Windows, Oracle, Unix and SUSE

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite: Word, Visio, (Advanced) Excel, Access and PowerPoint

  • Preferred experience with:

  • BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI

  • BMC Software's Control-M Workload Automation

  • Java, .net, C++, ASP, ABAP

  • SAP S4/HANA Migration Cockpit and Migration Object Modeler


  • Have a love for all things data

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail

  • Possess a deep understanding of relational databases, data conversion, and data cleansing methodologies

  • Proven ability to handle complexity

  • Strong communication skills in a cross-functional environment working with business users and IT teams

  • Curious, goal oriented and highly self-motivated with a strong customer service orientation; enjoys people and creates raving fans

  • Experience with eCommerce applications and content requirements preferred

  • Work experience in manufacturing industry or parts distribution a plus

  • Located within commuting distance of Lisle, IL (work must be done onsite)

What You Will Need Education: * Diploma * High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required * Bachelor's preferred in the following fields: Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
