Data Analyst

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Data Analyst/Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The Data Analyst will transform data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex data analysis that goes beyond basic reporting (e.g., predictive analytics, trend analysis).

• Design, build, and support real-time dashboards or alerts to monitor key metrics.

• Collect, process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis.

• Use data analysis tools and software for data analysis and reporting. Primarily Power BI and other Power Platform Applications.

• Generate regular reports and respond to ad-hoc report requests.

• Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.

• Work with the team to set and achieve goals and objectives related to data and analytics.

• Design and develop ETL processes and understand data warehouse methodologies.

• Design, build, and support data visualization dashboards.

Requirements:

• Training or experience as a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence Analyst.

• Knowledge of Air Force Reserve Aircrew or Personnel data systems

• Understanding of databases, software, or platforms used for data storage and management.

• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, and data mining.

• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, Power BI etc.).

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
