Responsible for the review, validation, analysis and reporting of Patient Care Services (PCS) division clinical and operational data to include financial and productivity reports, budget compliance and variances, and nursing/clinical data. Incumbent is responsible for reporting to National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) and dissemination of benchmarking reports. Designs and delivers Performance Improvement (PI) reports and presentations; analysis and validation of accuracy of clinical informatics and technology systems data; and development and maintenance of clinical dashboards. Further, identifies opportunities for and promotes standardization of processes and best practices within the PCS division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Coordinates the analysis and reporting of Patient Care Services (PCS) division productivity, general financial operations, patient satisfaction, staffing, performance improvement, patient throughput, etc. and is responsible for the ongoing monitoring, statistical analysis, and publishing of PCS division data as scheduled.
Responsible for approval and accurate payment of invoices for contracted nursing staff in the PCS division.
Monitors and reports salary and equipment budget compliance, to include analysis of variances.
Coordinates the reporting of nursing data to the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI). Responsible for the expansion of the nursing dataset when new indicators are defined.
Audits patient medical records and/or clinical information in order to validate clinical data.
Participates in the development and implementation of new staffing systems/plans, annual capital and operational budgeting processes, financial and productivity reports, system policy, division operations plans, clinical and operational resources, etc.
Identifies operational needs; develops, and implements processes to meet these needs.
Promotes and fosters data-driven decision-making through analysis and reporting of PCS data.
Responsible for ensuring PCS division meets data submission and reporting deadlines in a timely manner.
Supports Nursing Operations/Analytics Manager in identifying and monitoring progress toward organizational/departmental goals.
Creates and maintains standardized communications such as nursing intranet pages, flyers, newsletters, educational materials, meeting notices, etc.
Facilitates and/or participates on operational/process improvement teams.
Coordinates and facilitates daily activities of the Clinical Operations department to include scheduling of meetings and administrative assistant duties.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Accounting, Informatics or other related field required; Master's degree preferred. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word. Must be able to type at least 35 words per minute. Must be knowledgeable in Medical Terminology. Must be knowledgeable in the use of office technology and equipment. Previous experience in management and data collection and analysis preferred.
Requires a high level of analytical ability to identify, evaluate, interpret and disseminate clinical, operative, financial, and performance information. Requires competence in planning and organizing; as well as, problem-solving in a complex system.
Requires effective verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills necessary in frequently dealing with public, coworkers, PCS staff, vendors, sales representatives, etc. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work in teams and possess the ability to teach others and present findings to groups of leaders.
Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
