We are looking for a Data Analyst with knowledge of the videogame industry to join the JeffreyM team! This role will support our client's current reporting needs for their partners, which entails working with their current available data to generate reports and providing analysis to address business questions.


  • Partner with client in analyzing data and producing business insights to share internally and externally
  • Work with internal stakeholders to create processes to ensure data is available
  • Leverage Excel and statistical analysis to analyze large and complex datasets
  • Partner with data scientists to scope data queries
  • Create and implement data outputs to support additions to the gaming portfolio, including qualifying titles vs. multiple existing options
  • Create stylized presentations in PowerPoint


  • 5+ years of relevant business analytics and insights experience
  • Proven track record creating data driven business models, normalizing data across multiple sources, and providing insights that can be tied back to real business value
  • Must be able to operate independently and deal with some degree of ambiguity in designing solutions to business problems
  • Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Background or passion for gaming or media & entertainment is a plus
  • PC gaming knowledge recommended, or willingness to learn
  • Ability to work with confidential information

This is a contract role with one of our gaming clients. It is projected until June of 2023 with potential to extend.

Let's solve the world's most challenging problems together.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Conduct data management, analysis, and visualization of a variety of data sources, including survey data</p></li><li><p>Automate data processes and analytical reporting in the R programming language using tidyverse and related packages</p></li><li><p>Analyze and summarize data using methods such as regression modeling, machine learning, and sentiment analysis</p></li><li><p>Support or execute creation of dashboards and reports in Power BI</p></li><li><p>Work directly and independently with client(s) to scope and execute data-related and analytical tasks, with support from Cadmus technical staff and subject-matter experts as needed</p></li><li><p>Suggest approaches to client(s) as needed to ensure efficient and effective data management, analysis, and visualization</p></li></ul><p>This position can be 100% remote!</p><p>Qualifications</p><p>Required Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>A Bachelor's degree plus 6 years relevant work experience or graduate degree plus 4 years relevant work experience</p></li><li><p>Strong command of tidy data principles and familiarity with relational databases</p></li><li><p>Strong command of programming in R and extensive knowledge of tidyverse and data wrangling packages (dplyr, broom, tidyr)</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with modeling (e.g., lm, glm, tidymodel), text analysis (e.g., tidytext, quanteda), visualization (ggplot), and R Markdown</p></li><li><p>Basic skills in data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny, or ArcGIS Online</p></li><li><p>Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including setting priorities and adapting to changes in a time-sensitive, deliverable-driven workplace</p></li><li><p>Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with attention to detail</p></li><li><p>Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and internal project team members</p></li><li><p>Strong oral communication skills and professional demeanor working directly with outside clients</p></li><li><p>Desire to grow professionally and take on challenging work assignments, including a willingness to learn about new topics and datasets and build new data skills</p></li><li><p>Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Suitability for a Public Trust level of access</p></li><li><p>Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and have the ability to obtain a security clearance and/or DHS suitability - requires U.S. Citizenship.</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Additional programming skills in Python or SQL</p></li><li><p>Advanced skills in Power BI, Tableau, R Shiny, or data visualization theory</p></li><li><p>Power Query skills and extensive familiarity with MS Excel</p></li><li><p>Experience working with survey data is preferred, though again not required</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with APIs and data pipelines</p></li></ul><p>Additional Information: To be considered, all candidates must submit a resume.</p><p>Based on eligibility and job status, Cadmus offers an excellent benefits package to include: medical, dental, vision, company paid disability and life insurance, 401(k) program, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, voluntary time off (VTO), tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance program, other optional benefits and various bonus programs.</p><p>The estimated starting salary for this position is $70,000.
