The business analyst compiles and analyzes data from various business systems to help the company make informed decisions and implement new strategies to drive sales, marketing, and operations initiatives. In this role, the data analyst will extract data from the business systems, use tools to organize and analyze the data, and present data to department managers for review.

This individual will learn how to develop proposals and provide solutions. The individual will be responsible for developing reports for several ongoing projects to identify areas for improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop analytical models for Sales, Marketing, and Finance based on business data such as customer orders, sales, costs, margins, and quote data, tell a story with the data

  • Ability to tell the story with Data, with an understanding of the Aerospace Business, specifically Valves

  • Perform comparison and analytic review of data to help business leaders make sound business decisions.

  • Support streamlining the data collection / analysis process for the company. Write procedures documenting the applied process for company ISO system.

  • Develop standard and customized reports from EV operating platforms to drive sales and marketing data analysis, including analysis of orders and sales data by categories (OE, parts, projects, markets, regions).

  • Generate, coordinate and track project opportunity information from various lead sources. Monitor and report project wins and hit rates.

  • Work with Product Management team to develop sales lead initiatives and create marketing collateral to support such programs.

  • Create, track, and analyze monthly quotation funnel to identify trends and identify gaps and opportunities.

  • Assist Sales & Marketing with creation of Monthly Forecast.

  • Work with Sales and Customer Service teams to coordinate and update special pricing contracts database.

  • Coordinate with Product Management to analyze pricing information and implement price increases.

Position Requirements

  • B.S in Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting/Finance, or Business .

  • Able to understand basic business principles and apply to analysis of business data.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Access. Able to learn other company operating systems (SAP, ePrism, and others).

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. $72,600-$108,600/yr
