The Ipsos Connect Data Analyst position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career and gain experience in market research and data analytics. The main role of the Data Analyst is to apply analytic models and tools proprietary to Ipsos. This person will also diagnose potential issues, design process improvements, and collaborate across different teams. Self-motivation, good time management and strong communication skills are both must haves.
Correctly and appropriately apply proprietary analytic models.
Update analytic models.
Question the data in order to generate hypotheses that might explain modeled outputs.
Work with clients and client service teams on strategic analysis planning.
Ensure timely deliveries, high quality of work, and clarity in communication.
Understand the importance of protocols and standard operating procedures as a means for providing historical record of a job, a method for minimizing errors and increasing production efficiencies.
Apply critical thinking to quickly identify and resolve data issues.
Research and develop analytic techniques to answer custom business objectives.
Ideal Candidate has the following Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in quantitative subject (e.g. Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics)
Coursework in applied statistics.
Analytical mind that is data savvy with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with data processing and data analysis software (SPSS, SAS, Access, R, others).
Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis (including regression models, and related techniques).
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytics and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems.
Strong initiative and dedicated work ethic.
