Position: Data Analyst III

Duties: Assumes duties of Project Manager II, Innovation in the absence of the Project Manager II, Innovation by attending meetings; working directly with project teams on specific projects and analyses; performing analyses; providing directional advice/guidance related to defined logistical issues; and determining which issues need to be elevated.

Collaborates cross-functionally on assignments with internal and external stakeholders to understand the results of data analyses and research by communicating results and findings. Identifies root causes and develops potential solutions for Innovation initiatives, as assigned by supervisor, by analyzing data, processes and information through multiple techniques (for example, data analysis, data mining, trend analysis, financial analysis); and making recommendations based on data and observations. Collects, organizes, and validates data, processes and information by conducting process observations, mapping, interviews, time studies, data mining and trend analyses; utilizing multiple internal and external sources; and analyzing data using basic statistical techniques.

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field plus 1 year of data analytics experience or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience with:

Developing storytelling dashboards in Tableau Desktop and PBI and publishing them on a server which has connected with different data sources such as: Oracle (GRS/CKB), My SQL, Teradata, Prod 17, DB2 and GCP(BQ); Working on migration of Teradata Database to GCP and Hadoop system; Using Query IT, Hive tool to access Hadoop files; Blending data from multiple sources to discover new opportunities; Working to develop a front-end navigation scheme to support a formal dashboard portfolio strategy, including strategic, tactical, and operational dashboards; Migrating existing legacy reports into Tableau while building new reports from formal data warehouse initiative; Working to develop and manage the Tableau semantic layer through reusable data sources and KPIs helping client to see the trends in the sales data and forecast sales; Creating and extracting large data sets on sales and shared files to performing complex computations using Python to create a BQ tables and schedule refresh; Developing Spark code using Scala, Python and Spark SQL to fetch item and product related data from different data sources; Performance tuning of Targets, Sources, Mappings and Sessions; Performing real-time analysis of the incoming data using Kafka consumer API, Kafka topics, Spark Streaming utilizing Scala; and PL/SQL programming
