PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Supports FMCNA's mission, vision, core values, and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and FMS policy requirements.
Provides Fresenius Rx management with data analyses and information obtained from a number of disparate sources to assist with key financial and operational decisions. Gathers, analyzes, and reports on various Fresenius Rx data, documenting and interpreting business needs and requests as deemed necessary. Designs, builds, tests, and implements quantitative, data-driven solutions to more closely integrate pharmacy data with FMS data to provide higher quality outcomes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides analyses and data-driven solutions to Fresenius Rx management pertaining to, but not limited to Fresenius Rx operational productivity, finance forecasting, clinical and quality outcomes, customer satisfaction and attrition, enrollment, and patient demographics. Understands and translates requests, identifying constraints and suggesting solutions related to data and reporting.
Works closely with IT Business Analyst and Finance/Operations Analyst to help structure and interpret business requests. Reviews requests and develops queries, reports, extracts, and interfaces to provide solutions and analyze data making suggestions and recommendations to end users.
Designs, develops, and tests complex sequel/SQL queries for Fresenius Rx reports, extracts, and interfaces.
Accesses multiple sources of data including, but not limited to, the pharmacy management system, pharmacy call center software, pharmacy shipping systems, and other various Fresenius sources such as SAP BEx, Facility Database, ECube Patient Lookup, Knowledge Center, and Financial DataMart.
Designs, codes, and tests queries against data sources to extract, transfer, and report on data to meet business needs. Utilizes multiple tools to accomplish these tasks including, but not limited to, Microsoft SQl Server, Microsoft Excel, and Crystal Reports.
Collaborates with IT Business Analyst to document reporting/query requirements and create detailed specifications.
Documents business requirements related to data. Translates those requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
Utilizes knowledge to effectively communicate and clarify (in business and technical terms) business requirements with users. Understands the existing data elements and structures as well as our capabilities to capture additional data. Elicits specifics and helps business users define requirements.
Interprets data, performs quantitative analyses, and makes recommendations to Fresenius Rx management regarding findings, data collection and quality issues, and follow-up enquiries/work.
Suggests content improvements and additional analyses that would provide insight beyond the original request.
Defines and populates scorecards for Fresenius Rx management and performs statistical analyses such as linear regression models for both explanatory and predictive purposes.
Analyzes and evaluates content and performance of queries, reports, and other data-based processes suggesting improvements which may include changes in the structure or indexing of data, as well as programming changes in generation, and distribution of reports/queries.
Develops and maintains documentation of data definitions, sources, and relationships.
Creates and updates glossary of business terms and definitions.
Develops and maintains entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), data dictionaries, and other documentation describing what/how/where/why data is stored and how to access the data.
Coordinates with technical and functional areas outside of Fresenius Rx IT including, but not limited to, FMS Operations, Clinical Services, and additional IT groups such as FMCNA IT.
Obtains necessary data and makes Fresenius Rx data available to non-pharmacy users within FMCNA.
Pulls medical insurance information from eCF to verify Bundle Eligibility and obtains clinic census data to present pharmacy penetration numbers.
Provides pharmacy charge data for inter-company charges and inclusion on Medicare dialysis treatment claims. May be required to make medication histories available to nurses in clinics.
Maintains current knowledge of data and reporting-based subject matter including software tools, programming languages, and database technology as well as data modeling principles, concepts, and techniques.
May be required to analyze and evaluate additional vendors/tools in order to meet business needs for additional database documentation, reporting, or business development tools.
Works closely with pharmacy software vendors and other functional areas within FMCNA to gather and document data-related information.
Suggests vendors and tools to Fresenius Rx management.
Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.

Bachelor's Degree required in Computer Science or related field.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
2 5 years' IS experience, including report application development or application development in relevant tools (i.e., SQL, Business Objects), preferably in healthcare.
Proficient in T-SQL and MS Excel; Business Intelligence experience preferred but not required.
Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred).
Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and explain technical aspects to business users.
Experience developing technical specifications, queries, and/or reports.
Excellent presentation and communication skills required.
Strong organization, project management, and process analysis skills essential.
Experience and knowledge of dialysis clinic operations a plus.
