Perform tasks necessary to facilitate timely and accurate loan conversion of data to and from SLS Servicing Platform. Assist with new process and new product development.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Interact with prior servicers and investors regarding SLS transfer requirements, data discrepancies, missing data, files/images and timelines for servicing transfers. Communicate and coordinate with other business units to resolve these discrepancies and loan level reviews within deadlines. Follow-up on outstanding items through resolution.

  • Perform data analysis by using specific tools to identify discrepancies which need further review or explanation. Determine the best course of action to resolve the discrepancy dependent on the severity of the issue, loan product, lien position and loan status.

  • Analyze and document existing loan boarding procedures, edit checks, transfer instructions and automation in order to recommend process improvement solutions. Draft project requirements, testing plans and complete user acceptance testing as assigned. Implement approved changes necessary to improve the pre-boarding system and procedures. Provide project coordination with IT Business Analysts, Project Managers, and Application Development management to facilitate department transitions to new processes.

  • Analyze data so that it can be accurately mapped into a pre-boarding system utilizing proprietary programs, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access. Upload data into the SLS servicing platform, by using specific tools.

  • Support company policies, procedures, decisions and objectives. Work effectively in a team environment, and effectively communicate with team members and management

  • Provide initial and ongoing training, as well as provide recommended additional training/coursework, as determined by Supervisor.

  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Minimum of 4 years of mortgage industry experience in loan boarding, underwriting or data analysis.

Travel Required

It is expected that this position may include travel up to 10% of the time. This is subject to change based on many factors, including business needs.

Language Ability

Ability to read/analyze/interpret business periodicals/ journals/technical procedures/gov. regulations; write reports/business correspondence/procedure manuals; effectively present information/respond to questions from managers/clients/customers/public.

Mathematical Ability

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

The Driver Control Section is tasked with integrating a new nationwide credential tracking platform, State Pointer Exchange System (SPEXS). The SPEXS Help Desk maintains the State To State Pointer Exchange System, which enables the Colorado SPEXS Help Desk to work with other state's SPEXS personnel/Motor Vehicle department and the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) members. Duties: SPEXS Help Desk Resolve duplicates identified via SPEXS through analysis of data provided. Communicate with other state agencies to determine the proper state of record for an individual's credential and resolve any issues. Commercial Driver License (CDL) Driving Records Work with other state's CDL, CDLIS personnel/Motor Vehicle departments, the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) members on interstate and intrastate requirements for drivers changing residency, licensing state, clearing of citations and resolving driver license restrictions.
