The HR Data and Compensation Analyst supports data-driven HR and people decisions to analyze and gain insights on the firm's compensation practices and a broad range of topics including compliance, workforce planning, employee engagement, employee attraction and selection, development, performance, diversity and inclusion, and retention.
HR Data Responsibilities:
Research and develop data analytics in support of the Human Resources Department's strategic initiatives
HR metrics and reports development across all HR Technology modules
Data conversions for HRIS migrations
Data mapping, cleansing, and SQL queries
Streamline reporting and automate reports within the HR function
Importing, exporting, and manipulating employee data
Regulatory and compliance reporting
Conduct internal compliance audits
Ability to translate results of analyses into data-driven insights to ensure key messages resonate with the target audience
Work with MIS and practice operations teams to develop visualization methods/tools to enable end users to access and understand relevant data easily
Handle ad-hoc data requests from the HR and Leadership teams
Compensation Data Responsibilities:
Analysis of compensation trends in relevant industry markets
Researching employee salaries in similar roles, organizations, and industries and recommending changes based on findings
Collecting feedback on compensation-related issues
Participating in and collecting/analyzing data from industry-related compensation surveys to determine market trends
Benchmarking jobs against data collected and market intelligence to determine competitive compensation for each role
Planning and communicating best practices for evaluating and compensating employees, including pay equity compliance
Preparing and presenting charts and reports of compensation analysis
Researching and advising on relevant state and federal laws to ensure the organization remains compliant with its compensation policies
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's/Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Human Resources, or a similar degree
5+ years of work experience in data analytics, compensation, or compliance within Human Resources
Experience extracting HRIS data; Experience in Microsoft Power BI or UKG Pro BI a plus
Strong knowledge of HR practices and processes
Strong research, data analysis, and data visualization skills
Ability to explain and present data and metrics in a logical, concise manner including to a non-technical audience
Advanced in Microsoft Excel and database management skills including the ability to merge, clean, and analyze large amounts of data. Experience with analytics tools is a plus
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or a Compensation certification is a plus
