The Center for Excellence in Early Childhood is accepting applications for a full-time temporary position. This position will end on 6/30/2025.

The current contractual agreement between the Tennessee Department of Education and the ETSU Center of Excellence in Early Childhood Learning and Development outlines the specific duties of the Technical Data Analyst. The Data Analyst disseminates and analyzes an annual statewide survey of parents whose children receive special education services in public schools (preK-12) in Tennessee (up to 40,000 surveys annually). The survey aims to assess Tennessee's progress towards specific outcome performance measures related to serving children with disabilities, as mandated by the US Department of Education Office of Special Education.

This position is ineligible for remote work.

Temporary employees are ineligible for State benefits (retirement, state insurance, annual and sick leave, and holiday pay or longevity credit). Temporary employees working on average at least 30 hours per week over a specified measurement period will be offered medical benefits under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, data analytics, or related field;

• Experience working with large data sets, data collection, data mining and analysis, excel workbook (or similar tool), and products such as FileMaker Pro and REDCap.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, data analytics, or related field;

• Experience in the development and delivery of webinars describing survey tools and data analysis to teachers, school district administrators, and state agency liaisons.

Salary $35,568 - $36,710
