Assist with extracting new and innovative insights from complex, non-traditional, and/or large datasets. Assist with developing and applying data analyses to sharpen effectiveness of customer's OSINT analysis and intelligence production operations and improve operational outcomes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with OSINT analysts and data scientists to perform open source collection, processing, and visualization
  • Assist OSINT analysts' data mining efforts, identify patterns and correlations, extract insights from complex, non-traditional, and/or large datasets, and provide data visualization and comprehension options
  • Assist OSINT team with using and evaluating available off-the-shelf (OTS) tools, and develop innovative ways to combine data from different tools to provide more useful/relevant results
  • Assist with developing advanced OSINT tradecraft
Required Qualifications
  • Possess at least 3 years experience in opensource data collection, exploitation, processing and visualization
  • Possess at least 3 years experience with python, R, or compatible data manipulation language
  • Possess at least 1 year experience in developing and maintaining databases, document types and structure of open source data
  • Possess at least 2 years experience mining and extracting data on patterns and correlations from large datasets
  • Possess at least2 years experience using and evaluating available off the shelf(OTS) tools
  • Possess at least 2 years experience in collecting, processing and analyzing Publicly Available Information (PAI)
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree or higher in any STEM discipline, statistics, data science, data analysis
  • Strong statistics background (Statistician or Mathematician
  • Marine Corps intelligence experience

  • High School or Equivalent

This work allows the VCCS to better focus resources on the students - helping them start their educational journeys, persist, and succeed.</p><p>The Data Analyst will be a key member of the Shared Services Center (SSC) by:</p><ul><li><p>Interpreting data and trends to support business activities.</p></li><li><p>Identifying process improvement opportunities based on data.</p></li><li><p>Providing data analysis that supports process design and re-engineering for key business processes.</p></li><li><p>Design and prepare key metrics.</p></li><li><p>Ensuring management information and reporting regarding business process results.</p></li><li><p>Advise on and assist with support of processing platforms and software tools which support data analysis.</p></li><li><p>Contribute expertise to wider IT and automation topics including, where appropriate, system analysis, information security, etc.</p></li></ul><p>Special Assignments</p><p>May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
